Not sure if many of you "Shaun of the Dead" or "Spaced" fans know that Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright are doing a new movie called "Hot Fuzz."

They say they will be doing regular video blogs. The first one is already up.

Can't wait for the movie.

Also, despite not being in the commericals - Simon Pegg is bloody brilliant in the new Mission: Impossible 3 movie out later this year. He plays the techie and is hysterical.

Oh Pegg, you genius!
I had heard nothing about this till, now...cheers Fanny. You just know it's gonna rule, and it's good to see Martin Freeman will be in it for more than just a cameo this time.

I watched this last night right before I went to bed. My favorite part is the very end where Simon doesn't quite get the skid-out and they laugh. It shows how much fun they have creating this stuff, and how much of the inner child is at play when they do.

I am so freakin' jealous of you knowing "everything" about "anything" before I finally get the Rolling Stone in the mail. :(

Hot Fuzz UK Site (http://www.jointhefuzz.com/hotfuzz/index.html)

If the background of the site is the poster, I want one.

This films going to be fun. It'll be bigger then Shaun commercially. Hopefully after this they might bow to public pressure and make a one-off Spaced special, or even a sequel to Shaun; 'Night of the Living Ed.'

Nick didn't seem to keen on doing more on Spaced. Edgar said they wouldn't do a sequel or more Spaced unless they had a really, really good idea that would work. I LOVE both projects, but I wouldn't want more unless they were enthusiastic about it. Just because we fans want more, they shouldn't bow to us if they aren't feeling it. Otherwise, it just hurts everyone.

It's been too long for another Spaced series
Jessica has skinnied up and Simon and sloated out
I wont be holding my breath

But I would like them to do another series of a different type
They've been fantastic (and looks like they will be again) at the movie schtick but a return to the box could prove even better, with the added benefit of having money thrown at them now

there are two teasers on the web for Hot Fuzz...good stuff, one has a pretty hilarious tribute to a scene from SOTD in it...

meanwhile, i'm still working on my SOTD related prequel project...mainly because folk keep telling me i look so damn much like Simon Pegg...

Is that all? That's a much shorter gap than Shaun of The Dead had. Gravy!

Fuck-a-doodle-do. I cannot wait for that.

And they used the Eels' "Souljacker" in the trailer! They almost NEVER allow the use of their songs for anything! Sweet!
