I'm sure I don't have to tell you but the South by Southwest musical festival started in Austin this week. Australia is well represented with the following bands taking part:

End of Fashion (These guys are from Perth)
The Flairz (also from Perth)
Function
The Gear
Grey Daturas
Gyroscope (from Perth)
The Living End
Love of Diagrams
Dappled Cities Fly
Kisschasy
The Grates
Lovetones
The Mess Hall
The Morning After Girls
Bluebottle Kiss
Clue to Kalo
Decoder Ring
The Presets
Shifter
Sia
Wolfmother

I haven't heard of a lot of these dudes but I can recommend, The Living End (their latest album entered the charts at No 1 over here and I've got one of their songs on my myspace (http://www.myspace.com/emmaf) if you want a listen), End of Fashion, Gyroscope, Kisschasy and Wolfmother.

You can find out more info here: http://2006.sxsw.com/

Funny you should say that. As I read the title again before reading your post, I thought, "Geez that sounds like it relates to lovers of the band Texas". Well it's not.

It was a big debate for me, because I wanted to do South by Southwest, but I was already scheduled for a Colorado ski vacation. Considering the size of the snow covered mountains out the window right now, I am guessing this isn't Austin.

Next year I will go!

How's the snow up there? All we have down here is wind.

How's the snow up there? All we have down here is wind.Good lord did we have snow. After I left your house and picked up my friend at DIA it took us 3 hours fighting a ice storm/blizzard to Summit Country. It dumped about 6 in. on Monday, and then another on Wednesday.
