Anyone else a fan of this movie? It first came out back in 99 I believe, and I thought it was great. I guess now, they're re-releasing it onto DVD again with tons of extra features and 2 discs, so this is definatley going to be a fun DVD.

What the hell is going on? What's with the influx of newbies plugging this movie?
This is the second post about this and there was other posts prior to that. Please do a search next time!
What is it about? i don't believe i'm familier with it.

Remember back when the site started there was DVD column by a guy named Robert Burnett? He made a movie that is basically a punched up version of himself and his friend Mark. William Shatner plays a version of himself that is hysterical. Basically, it's a bunch of pop culture references strung together using a plot about friendship. It's a great movie to see. Just not sure why all these newbies are plugging it.

This movie's great--I liked it a lot more than I expected to. The writer/director Robert used to write at this site, too (come to think of it, so did I). Happy to see a special edition of this flick. Robert's been trying to get a second one going, too, and he said Shatner agreed (what won't he agree to, though?) so that could be fun.

I believe so. Robert's day job is doing special edition DVDs. He did Tron, Usual Suspects, X-Men 1.2, LOTR extended and is currently working on some of the Star Trek discs.

The whole situation with Mark and Robert give some substance to this film. They are worried for the first time in their lives about failure, about credit reports, and about finding the right relationships. I love how Robert is a bit of a ladies’ man, but he has surrounded himself with women who do not appreciate the finer things in life, like action figures… lol. It is nice to see how Claire just comes into his life in a comic book shop.

Seriously, what is going on? This many newbies talking about this film is just odd. I wish we could see IP addresses like back in what is called "the good old days."
