...for two hours during their set last night. I waited until the break between the set and the encore to smoke because you don't smoke during sex. This, my friends, was sonic sex.

And I'm not a huge Carona drinker, but when Rob (the Bass player) offers one to me, there's no sweeter tasting beer than backstage BRMC beer.

Couldn't agree more.
I probably mentioned before, but I saw them play during the NME Brat tour (along with The Coral, Lost Prophets....who were truely awful, and Andrew WK) a few years back, right after the release of their first album. They were amazing. I wish they'd come back, but alas, they haven't yet to the best of my knowledge.

You seriously owe it to yourself to do anything you can too see them live now. The first time I saw them in October of '03 was officially the best show I had ever seen. The show last night was even better.

After the new acoustic CD left a lot of people scratching their heads as to why they abandoned their signature sound, if the live show is any indication it adds a new dynamic to the band that they didn't have previously that is tremendous. This was one of those shows where I felt priveleged to be in the audience. While I dig the new album, I didn't really understand why they did it until I saw how easily it translated to and improved their live set.

I haven't got the new album yet, but I'll do a bit of sleuthing and try to find out. Cheers for the tip.
