For all those who don't know, I loved 'Rent' when I saw it in the theatres early last year. I loved the music and I loved the actors.
So, I got to preview the dvd last week and I was a little upset with the DVD content. You can choose from either the one-disc version which ONLY features the movie and an audio track (which I haven't had a chance to listen to) or the two-disc version which features the movie and audio track on one disc, and the second, which features a couple deleted scenes and an awesome tribute to Jonathan Larson.
But, what really bothers me is the lack of special features. I could have done more with costume design, why they picked certain costumes, etc., but nope, nothing. If you choose to buy the movie, buy the one disc-version, unless you are at all interested in the show's creator.
