To celebrate the fact that it is colder than a witches tit and the roads were solid ice yesterday we decided to spend some time at the movies.
Someone, who usually has good taste, recommended we see Freedomland. After leaving the theater it occured to me that I really just spent two hours watching Julianne Moore blubber and not wear makeup.

Thanks for the heads up.
Speaking of dissapointments, watched Chicken Little recently (under girly duress)
Over in about an hour and had about 3 laughs
Now I remember why I hate Disney...

Oh, Zens. I could have told you that. After seeing 'The Forgotten,' I vowed never to see another Moore film where she looses a child. And the sad thing is, Jackson usually picks good movies.
Now, if you are looking for a great movie, see 'Match Point.' Brilliant.
And, Aaron, 'Chicken Little' was a cute film. Totally for the kids and very loving. Made me cry... but, then again, I still cry at 'The Lion King.' I love Disney!

I haven't seen Chicken Little, so I can't really comment, but surely you're not suggesting it's on par with The Lion King? That movie is a masterpiece, and anyone who doesn't well up at Mufasa's death (and Simba's reaction) has no soul.

Trust me, 'Chicken Little' was nothing like 'The Lion King.' Ask anyone here... I'm in love with 'The Lion King.' I even sang 'I Just Can't Wait to Be King' at an audition. It is one of my favorite movies!

Now I remember why I hate Disney... We took the boys to Hoodwinked over the weekend (there were only 23 seats left for Curious George, so we didn't think we would get seats together, but after promising a movie, it would have been tough to back out). I'm pretty sure that Hoodwinked is the worst movie I've ever seen. I think that it has superseded Going Overboard.

I heard this morning on the radio that it is HORRIBLE, but they didn't elaborate. What is wrong with it?

I think that the problem is that Pixar, Sponge Bob, etc have convinced us that animation is just as much for adults as it is for kids. This movie was just for kids...but even Isaac didn't laugh very often. I found two things in the movie to be funny. One was just having Puddy from Seinfeld voicing the fox. I just kept waiting for him to yell out, "We're the Devils!" The only funny line (and it may only be funny because I'm a Physicist, was Puddy saying (after Red Riding Hood took a pretty big fall), "I noticed you did alot of falling, there. That gravity sure does its job."
