Okay, I just have two words to say....This show just gets friggin' better and better every week.

Okay, that might have been three or four words.

I won't get into this week's episode so as not to ruin it for the Tivoers and those from other countries, but it really kicked ass.

Went out of town, Tivo-ed the New Episode on Friday. Come home today, guess what? A member of my family erased ALL of my saved programs, ALL OF THEM, and anything I had recorded since then. When asking "Why??????" All I recieved were petty grumbles of "oh, sorry" and "I thought you had watched them". SO I erased all the content that others had saved...in their brains! Thats right, everyone in my family, in a coma

That sucks. I don't have a Tivo, but my DVD recorder has a hard drive in it, so I can run into the same problem. But then, it is just me and my daughter and I haven't shown her how to manipulate the hard drive yet.

i just took the plunge and bought season 1 on dvd. i would have gotten into it when it first came on tv but until i moved back to florida the only two channels i had were nbc and cbs. the show seems like something i would be into and i wanted to start from the beginning and work my way up to the current episodes.

I'm still in shock. I think they may have lost me as a fan. I was fine until "one year later." I saw a giant shark being jumped and I honestly don't know how they are going to win me back. Alias lost me forever with their time jump and I hate the idea of giving up the best show on television. But I am at my core in opposition of where this show is headed.

My friend had the exact opposite reaction and can't wait until October. I sure can without a problem. I kind of feel betrayed. We spent two seasons with these people in this situation and now there are going to totally change shit up.

I'll give it the first three episodes of the next season to win me back, but wow do I not want to watch where this is going.

Season two has been great . The episode where they hit “The Resurrection” was by far, my favorite of the series and I had problems with that one because stupid fraking Apollo crashed the blackbird . In his own words “Maybe I didn’t care if I made it back.” and he still gets command of the Pegasus ?

Nah , I don’t think so.

My next favorite was the one from the Cylons point of view where we get to see that Six has the same type of “visions” of Baltar that he has about her. That one made me laugh, a lot.

That’s got to be a dream sequence. At the beginning of next season Rosalind or Baltar will wake up knowing what might’ve been and will change their course accordingly. The running social commentary being something along the lines of “The price of freedom is eternal vigilance”.

Think about it , Adama would never allow CAP and crew to deteriorate like that. And a year on the surface of a planet and not one permanent structure built ?
Everyone still living in tents ?
The doctor not knowing how to synthesize antibiotics?
Just doesn’t make any sense.

Even if I’m right about this being a dream sequence, I agree, there’s still some shark jumping going on.

I agree, I think this show is pretty great. My only crapper was when I got season 1 and 2.0 for xmas only to find out that I only got half of the second season. Now I have to wait 1 week at a time for one more tidbit of the story. Oh well, at least S2 is almost done!

Every Tuesday and Thursday until all 10 parts have been released just before Season 3 starts. The premiere is supposed to be 6 months later than the finale and these webisodes help bridge the gap.

The rest of Season 2 DVDs will be out Sept. 19th.

SEASON 2.5? WTF! Thats BS!
2.0 and 2.5 then what 2.61? for the the last episode of season 2. Release the damn things as a full season. For the Price of HALF a season 2 I got the 1st Season Which included the MiniSeries! I know they are "alittle" cheaper than regular Box Sets, but release the whole season all at once. Its like the JLA cartoons they released these DVD Packs of the Episodes, I dont want top pay 15 dollars for a handfull of episodes, I want a FULL season for 30-50 bucks. Brisco County JR is selling for $80! A season of Star Trek Costs 100 bucks. DVDs are getting crazy. Yet I can pick up Episode 3 of Star Wars, Both Kill Bills for 20-30 Buck All TOGETHER over at Wal Mart. Doesnt make a lick of sense. I blame the MTV

Okay, I thought that the new path of the show was really going to suck...and I mean "jump the shark" type of sucking. However, I liked the season opener. Definitely a good two hours of entertainment that included sex, violence, betrayal and all of that good stuff.

I think they did kind of mold it to look like Iraq and Afghanistan, with the suicide bombers and all, but that is bearable.

I will definitely keep watching the show.

i kinda didn't like at the end of the last season how they did the whole jump forward in time stuff..i don't like shows that do that. i thought the premiere was alright..but they tried way too hard to make a comparison to iraq.

Well, the hor part of that is about right....ooooohhhh, that was just wrong.

I was rather shocked on the allegedly killing her off part this soon in the season, however, I did figure it would be by the end of the season seeing as how she appeared to be on the verge of being suicidal. I mainly thought it would be the final episode of the season and that they would leave us with a cliff-hanger....did she really die?....Is she a cylon?....etc and make us wonder about it until the next season started.

I too think she will either be a cylon or was rescued in some way and will be back either early next season or by the end of this season.

As fans will know, the new versions of Cylons can now present themselves in human form, as you’ll see above. These Cylons think, act, and communicate like humans, and some of them don’t even realize that they’re Cylons (they’re sleepers, you see).
Throughout the series, the humans have been working on a Cylon detection tool. Dr. Gaius is the one that has been given this job, and although we don’t know exactly what his detection tool requires, I think I have it figured out. See, the one thing that all of these humanoid cylons have in common is that their spines light up like Christmas trees when they’re having sex. It’s basically the same idea as shining a flashlight through your cheek, but on your spine. After some contemplation, it became obvious that the only way to detect Cylons is to do ‘em doggy-style. As a follow-up, by process of simple deduction, it turns out that the Liberator (http://www.theliberator.com/) is the best way to detect Cylons. Who knew?

Also how cool was that pull out at the end? Where they pulled back to the ships, then to the fleet, then the cylons following them, then to the Galaxy and then back into EARTH. I frakked my pants.

I would have to say that this was one of the better episodes they have had. They hit just about every emotion on the roller coaster of emotions, the special effects at the end were awsome, Starbuck was back in whatever way they have planned for her, and Apollo basically shamed his father into letting Baltar off the hook. Oh, and the identification of 4 of the final 5 cylons?

The only thing I don't get is Col Ty as a cylon, if those four are actually cylons. He has been with Admiral Adama for just about his entire career and since the first cylon rebellion; well according to the story line as explained throughout the series. If this is the case, how can he be a cylon if the cylons were the old toaster models back then? I could see if maybe he were replaced by a cylon model made to look like him somehwere along the way, but making him out to have always been a cylon doesn't jive with the background story. Am I wrong in this thought process?

Well, the cylons disappeared after the war 50 years prior so Adama and Ty couldn't have been in that war. I believe Adama has said they have only been friends for 20 years.

I think the "Final Five" are very different kind of cylons from the seven and we will find out exactly how they are so different next season.
