Hey, Ming, any chance of this thread getting moved over here?
I just watched one of the funniest(IMO) episodes yet. I'm sorry, to those that liked the British version better. But, this might become one of the best shows on this side of the pond.
Nevermind, I think the thread pulled a Houdini.;)

How does everyone think the show will hold up when Mr Carell bows out?

Badly. They're fools to carry on without him

It'll stop dead in its tracks before you can even say "Agent Doggett aint no Mulder"

I just finished the UK version. Absolutely brilliant, but so, so uncomfortable at times. I love a show that can make me completely love the characters. And the ending was perfect. :)

I disagree. I think John Krazinski and Rainn Wilson alone could carry the show. Frankly they've been the funniest part of the show these past few seasons.

I'm still waiting for a deathmatch between the Oggmonster and Finchy.

To be honest, I don't think they've known what to do with Rainn Wilson. His character has become so 2D it's boring now. And Krazinski has been phoning it in.
Seriously, the writing has been taking a dive for a while now. It's time to let it go.
But saying that, carrying on without the main character certainly worked for That 70s Show.
Am I right guys?

I've enjoyed it. Granted Krazinski isn't as on as he was in earlier seasons, I think he still brings something to the show, and Rainn's been the best part about these last few episodes.
The Office has a really strong supporting cast. Even by removing Carrell I think the show can still go on, for at least another season. As long as they don't try to replace Carrell, and just let the rest of the cast carry on, it should be good.
And this is the last time any of us shall ever speak of Randy. Agreed?

I think its good in a sense that they're letting Carrell go 4 episodes before the season finishes. If the ratings slump so terribly then at least they won;t have wasted an entire season's worth of money, then again that money would probably just be put towards something far worse instead.
