Newbie here so please be gentle. If i posted this in the wrong area than please let me know.

there seems to have been a trend in movie trailers being re-cut of late. the shining and brokeback to the future are quite good.

It's re-cut in the style of a horror movie. my friend at work made this in his downtime and we'd love to get some feedback. it's already been mentioned briefly on CNN and will be mentioned in the wall street journal this weekend.

The Shining is great. So much more clever than the damn "Brokeback" parodies. Though the Top Gun one is much more clever (and fitting) than the Back to the Future one.

As for Sleepless in Seattle, it's not bad, but they didn't have nearly as much material to work with as they did with The Shining, so it's kind of short. Plus, I think turning The Shining into an uplifting family dramedy is much more clever than turning Sleepless in Seattle into a stalker movie.

So far, I have not found a single one of the Brokeback ones to be all that funny. They each have their moments but the whole idea is old now. Do something original.
