Somebody turned me onto www.pandora.com (http://www.pandora.com).

Put in some favorite songs or artists and it will create your own personal streaming radio station. You can refine by giving thumbs up or down on the songs it gives you.

And it's freeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I've been meaning to check into that. In the last RollingStone, they had four different places to get music, but I can't find it on their website. I'll bring it in to work tomorrow to let you know what the other three were.

I put in "Pantera" and they hit me up with "Fucking Hostile." This has been a good day.

Jesus, I'm loving Pandora. I've heard some Temple of the Dog and some Sponge this morning, mixed in with all the other goodness.

When it threw the Specials "Little Bitch" at me, I knew I was hooked.

Nice. Started with "Spin the Black Circle" by Pearl Jam.

I don't know if mine is ready for primetime just yet...

I didn't know Richard Hell sang Chinese Rocks. I've only heard the version by the Ramones. Thanks for the link Gotherella!

My station is absolutely rockin'. I put in Coheed and Cambria to start off, and they threw DeVotchKa at me. Happy I am. On another station, I started with Ramones and the played some Lars Fredrikson and the Bastards. Oh so wonderful.

When I'm working in Journalism class, I like to listen to music, so I was using Pandora since our damn internet filter blocked launchcast. The very next day after I started to use Pandora it was sonicwalled(the name of our bastardly block at school).

The Army usually gets me that way, but they've yet to catch on to Pandora. Two of the three people in my lab are using it now, so it is only a matter of time before it goes the way of Launchcast and Sirius.

...and my lazy ass still hasn't brought the RollingStone into work.Been getting the Stone since the wife and I got hitched in '81. Before the 'net, it was "the" way of finding out what was going on in the music world(Cream and Hit Parader were too much fluff for me). If you don't subscribe, you're missing out on some music goodness, sans Kurt Loder. Well, 'cept youse 'publicans. That mag is pure left. But if you can get past some of the political leanings, it's a nice way to keep up with alot of what's going down in the "biz".

As predicted, the Army has banned Pandora. I'm getting them back by uploading lots of music to my computer. Not as varied as Pandora, but it gets the job done.
