Did anybody go and see this movie?! If so, what are your thoughts?

I saw it. I have mixed feelings about it. I think it was very well written and well acted. When certain characters were getting hurt or scared, I genuinely felt for them in a way that doesn't often happen with slasher flicks. The plot felt really plausible, and the gore always seemed relevant and not superfluous to the story. The first 1/3 is practically softcore porn, and the rest is pure brutality....so the squeamish need not apply. I even cringed a couple times, which is rare for me. The only recent movies I've given that response to are Ichi the Killer (ironic since Takashi Miike makes a cameo in Hostel) and Oldboy. I think Eli Roth did a great job directing here too, and I think he's well on his way to being a standout director. Hostel is a very well-made movie.
All that said, though, I left the theater feeling like something was lacking. I don't know. My date and I just felt kind of flat and bla, and she was really looking forward to seeing it.
I will say it's a far greater movie than most of its kind, especially here in America.

In all honestly, that is exactly why i posted that question. I was really really excited to see it, and my boyfriend and i finally went, and although i enjoyed it i walked out of the theatre and said "it was different then i thought." Not in a way that i didn't enjoy the movie, because i also thought it was really well done, and it really freaked me out, im sure his hand hurt a bit by the end of it, lol. But yes, i to felt like something was missing, and i really can't tell you what.

Everybody rocks on about Cabin Fever. I thought it was good, though just good. Nothing more, nothing less. It's very formulaic Eli Roth seems like a genuinely cool guy that knows his shit. So I wish him the best.

I saw Cabin Fever in the cinema, and I was far from blown away. I have forgotten a lot of it, but I still remember that most of the cast really annoyed me, and that it wasn't very scary.

I'm about 45/55 on it. I didn't like the characters at all, except for the crazy german. The plot was so/so. The sex scenes weren't as extreme as everyone said they would be. The violence in it did not phase me one bit. 45% good 55% bad.

Im personally looking forward to this.
My story with Cabin Fever was that i went to see it with four other people when Mystic River sold out (but enough about that rubbish) and it was the only other viable film being shown.
So they dragged me to it, all of them pretty hyped up about the movie
I walked out 90 minutes later the only one who enjoyed it! Gotta love the kung fu kid in it. ANd the guy poking the corpse in the water, lets be fair he was asking for it.

Is it possible to find Cabin Fever hilarious and disturbing at the same time, because i sware i laughed my ass off and cringed through the whole thing. I loved it.
