So, what is everyone's favorite beer? We had a little beer tasting event last night, and this is what we had:
http://idata.over-blog.com/0/10/15/07/photos/tsing-tao-beer.jpg
Also, Harp, Red Stripe, Great Lakes Brewing Compay's Eliot Ness, Blue Moon, and Honey Brown.
We also had some good liqour:

Also 110 Vodka, Sauza Gold Tequila, and Jim Beam Green Label.
So, what's your favorite?

Red Stripe is a damn fine beer. I'm partial to Shiner(a bock from Texas, yeah, what a surprise). If a bar has Fat Tire on-tap, I'm in.
Oh, hell, and I had a Tsingtao at the Chinese lunch buffet Thursday. That, too, is a great beer.
Liquor-wise. I love Jager, but it don't like me. :p
I'm always up for a good top-shelf Margarita, also. Cuervo, Patron, Sauza, I ain't particular.
Brown liquor: Jack Black, Jim Beam, Crown Royal.
White liquor: Got stuck on Stoli with cranberry years back. Stoli-Red Bull ain't bad, either. Not into gin-grinnin'.
Wine: Anything red first..Merlot, Cabernet, then Chardonnay. If it's pink, fuck it. Oh, my, there's a little innuendo.
Zens, please forgive me, but I hate scotch.

Sideways, really?! I can't imagine anyone not liking it, it's freakin' perfect in my opinion.

I didn't like it. It had it's moments, but I disliked the main characters completely. I could have cared less. I had that he used women like that and that his friend let him.

Those who don't like it are supposed to like Garden State, I didn't take to either, much like wines they are aqquired tastes.

I'm in your category as well because aside from the soundtrack I didn't get the hype about Garden State either.

Yikes, you didn't like Sideways or Garden State. Tough customer!
i have to wonder if Sideways had any effect on the sales of Merlot? I would think it did, as i never see it ordered anymore. I'm seeing a lot of Syrah and Pinot, though.
As far as my favorite beer, i'm pretty pedestrian, and dig on Bud Light, it's my beer of choice for long term drinking.
In the Whiskey catagory, i'm all aboutL&G Woodford Reserve (http://www.woodfordreserve.com/) on the rocks with a splash of water. mmmmm delicious bourbon......

Isn't this a picture from 'Cinderella Man?'
Anywho, I liked Sideways for some odd reason. I didn't think it was like THE BEST movie out there, but it was good in so many ways.
And FanGirl, don't hate up on my 'Garden State...' I love that movie so much and the soundtrack is brilliant.

I quite partial to any of New Belgium's beers (http://www.newbelgium.com/beers.php). We actually chose Tuesday to be our Drinking Liberally (http://coloradosprings.drinkingliberally.org/) nights mainly because they're New Belgium special nights.
I'm not much of a hard alcohol drinker, but if I'm in a casino, Vodka Cranberrys are usually my good luck drink...sometimes Caucasians.
We had a Cosmo night on Friday and they did a miraculous job of getting me drunk!

Beer: Lefthand - Sawtooth; New Belgium - Sunshine Wheat, Blue Paddle; Newcastle; Odell's - 90 Shilling, Easy Street Wheat, Levity; Bass; when I want to look tough PBR, Old Style, and Black Label (pronounced Black La'Belle) preferably ingested 'shotgun' style.
Hard Alcohol: straight up - scotch (any single malt), whiskey, vodka (grey goose), tequila (Patron), or brandy. I don't really do mixed drinks anymore, but for shots, the popular ones lately are: Mind Erasers, Poontang's, Redheaded Sluts, and Wisconsin Lunchbox's. We used to do tequila suicides and 3 wise men on fire but that has dropped off noticeably.
As far as wine goes, we were influenced by Sideways, we drink a Pinot Nior called Schug (http://www.schugwinery.com/html/pinot_noir.jsp), it is the first wine I tasted where you can actually tell the difference when you let it breath.
I am also partial to chilled Sake, Rumple Minze in hot coco, coffee brandy (http://pressherald.mainetoday.com/specialrpts/alcohol/d1brandy.htm), margaritas, and (saving the best for last), Coors light in a glass packed full of ice cubes.

Hard Liquor - The Balvenie Portwood 15, over rocks & Stoli Martinis straight up with a lime.
Mixed Drinks - Mojito, Margarita
Beer/Beerish - Shiner Bock, Black Velvet (Ace Pear and Guiness)
Wine - St. Clement 2003 Cab. Sav.
Note - If you all are looking for a GREAT pinot for under $12 try "The 47lb Rooster". Funny name, serious wine.
Champagne - Perrier Jouet "Fleur de Champagne" Vintage 1996 (kicks Dom Perignon flat in it's overhyped ass)
It's a family tradition for all our big events: http://www.luxus.cz/obchod_pic/5_perrier_jouet.jpg
Beer: anything ice cold
...and dark. Beer should be dark. (If it looks the same going out as it did going in, I won't drink it.) Guiness is a favorite. XX Amber is something I've recently taken a liking to.
Wine: not a big fan of wine, it makes my uvula swell up
Hard Liquor (aka "the good stuff") : Jack Daniels either straight or mixed with slightly frozen (slushified) Dr Pepper (I call it a Doctor Jack) Other than that one thing, I like my liquor straight up. No salt. No lime. And sometimes without a glass (Hello, Captain Morgan!)

Beer...Guinness Draught.
Hard liquor...Knob Creek bourbon with a couple pieces of ice melting in it.

Try a shot with the wife the next time you're out.

I suppose mine would have to be Guinness (how original! ), gin & tonic, and pretty much any kind of half-decent beer. I'm not picky, but if you give me anything with Red Bull, I won't touch it. The smell of that stuff makes me sick!

Well my best friend is turning 19 in a couple of weeks, so this means i get to go out to a bar and take my first legal shot... FINALLY. I can hear the Crown Royal calling me now, "Saaaarraaaaahhh."

Jesus, Crown on your first night being legal? I think PBR was as expensive as I got my first night out.

My father got to serve me my first legal beer. I turned 21 the same night as our town festival. He was the president of the Lion's Club that year and they ran the beer tent. It was pretty fun actually, because at midnight he and all of his buddies made a big deal out of it.

For my 19th birthday i stayed home and had my best friend and a couple of my parents friends over, who i know really well and am close with, and we all had one of my favorite meals and drank and played cards all night. It was actually pretty fun. I have yet to go out and really party for my 19th, but soon.

If you like Woodchuck Granny Smith then try Ace Pear. It is often found at places that carry a LOT of imports. Best on draft, but may be hard to find where you live.
