Just as descriptive as i can, but as short as possible too. Usually it's a few words from some action in the clip, something that will jog my shady memory of what it's about, so i don't have to scrub the whole thing.

For instance i just got done with something for Saks 5th Avenue's Parisian Dept. Store, so while most of the stuff is generic sounding things like "Jigsaw from behind Green Sleeve" and MAC Makeup Jib, I also have stuff like "Metrosexuals on the Catwalk", "Women's Dept. Sweatery Things" & stuff like that.

I am just happy to have so many of those types of screengrabs that I need to add a number indicator to the end :)
I take lots of photos and ran into the problem where I ran out of names to name things. Now I usually just write a small description like 'Cat Costume' and then include the date and/or time -depending on if too many photos were taken that same day. Also it helps to use 6 digits for the date so the months and days don't get confused.
