I am so hyped to see this. I got Wingy clued in too.

Joquin does his own singing, which is pretty dead on if you can trust the trailer.

If I don't get to see it I will Cry, Cry, Cry.

I think he's saying he didn't care about Johnny Cash until he died. He must be from Nashville.

And we all know what Johnny thinks of that...

Incidently, that's my response to bad grammar right before I put the offender on the List.

I think he has gone far beyond bad grammar. Sometimes I think he drinks all the time. Seriously.

It looks, really good, but I'll see it on the 19th. On the 18th, I'm going to go see Goblet of Fire with my 9 year old.

I dont much like alot of Cash's stuff. But it does look like a good movie, much better than that crapfest Ray (which I had the displeasure of seeing this week)
But um...yeah sorta got a chill listening to the song they play during the credits, dont know why. But I'm going go see it

I just saw the trailer for that today- Luckily, I'm off from the 17th to the 27th next month- plenty of time to catch a flick or two.

Definately going to see it. I discovered Mr. Cash after hearing Ring of Fire in U-Turn. Crappy movie, but great soundtrack. I have his greatest hits. I love when Krusty does his Johnny Cash homage.

"I slugged a guy in Tahoe. I got 1 to 3. My lawyer sprung me on a technicality. I'm just visiting Springfield prision. I get to sleep at home tonight."

My best friend is in love with Mr. Cash. When she first heard about this movie and its release date, she requested the day off. And it doesn't help that she is a huge Joaquin fan either…

Joquin looks like he pulled off a great performance. If its true he really did all the singing, then hats truly off. I am pretty hyped up.

This morning I popped in one of my old mix CD's and it has my favorite Cash song on it...so I decided to make it the song of the day.

Sunday Morning Coming Down

Well I woke up Sunday morning,
With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt.
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad,
So I had one more for dessert.
Then I fumbled through my closet for my clothes,
And found my cleanest dirty shirt.
An' I shaved my face and combed my hair,
An' stumbled down the stairs to meet the day.

I'd smoked my brain the night before,
On cigarettes and songs I'd been pickin'.
But I lit my first and watched a small kid,
Cussin' at a can that he was kicking.
Then I crossed the empty street,
'n caught the Sunday smell of someone fryin' chicken.
And it took me back to somethin',
That I'd lost somehow, somewhere along the way.

On the Sunday morning sidewalk,
Wishing, Lord, that I was stoned.
'Cos there's something in a Sunday,
Makes a body feel alone.
And there's nothin' short of dyin',
Half as lonesome as the sound,
On the sleepin' city sidewalks:
Sunday mornin' comin' down.

In the park I saw a daddy,
With a laughin' little girl who he was swingin'.
And I stopped beside a Sunday school,
And listened to the song they were singin'.
Then I headed back for home,
And somewhere far away a lonely bell was ringin'.
And it echoed through the canyons,
Like the disappearing dreams of yesterday.

On the Sunday morning sidewalk,
Wishing, Lord, that I was stoned.
'Cos there's something in a Sunday,
Makes a body feel alone.
And there's nothin' short of dyin',
Half as lonesome as the sound,
On the sleepin' city sidewalks:
Sunday mornin' comin' down.
