HELL YEAH !!!! Anyone else watched the first Episode of the new season last night? It was great!!! South Park has away of making fun of everyone, which makes it fun to watch. I was very pleased with the last season, and this season was funny as hell.

I enjoyed the episode the other day, alot. I think they surfed that line of being topical, making fun of the Day after tommrow, and still being funny. I just hope South Park doesnt stick around too long, like Malcom in the Middle too long(and I loved MitM but I think its run its course)
I also watched Drawn Together Season 2 first episode, man that was good/crap. I dont know, sometimes the show has little sparks of greatness but alot of it is crap. Making fun of Reality shows is too easy, and overdone. I think if the writers can stay away from that it could get better but...meh.
Malcolm in the Middle has the same problem as all kid centers shows, the kids grow up and get less cute, and people stop caring. I haven't watched the show since the older brother was in Alaska or something (it's been so long, i've forgotten his name). Plus the mom's shrillness can only be funny for so long.

Thought the South Park was good. It's all Bush's fault, anyway. I liked Drawn Together last year, hope the rest of the season is better than last nite, though. It had it some ups and downs. Jeff Probst apparently has a big weinie.

It was pure genius. Mostly because people have simply discounted reports that a barge crashed through the levee and that is why it broke (and the fact that the barge in question STILL SITS A HUNDRED FEET FROM THE LEVEE).
At the end when people are accepting blame for something someone else did.... imagine if the Emmy Awards actually went to true talent?

The boys just get in trouble in a different way. How many times has the mom been sick and it led to shenanigans?
I feel the same way about Curb Your Enthusiasm.

I should have taped the show. Oh well.... I guess I can always BT it.
Those guys are truly on the center line. They blast both sides with equal humor and viciousness. No one else does it as well. Not even The Daily Show (which does go at both sides, but clearly enjoys attacking the right more, as those guys are all pinkos).

South Park still kicks ass. The new episode was fantastic. It looks as if this will be another brilliant season.

Are you fucking kidding me? Did you just actually say that? What if someone said that about the Simpson's? It's blasphemy....
South Park does this thing with current events so it's always somewhat new. Unless the news stops I don't see South Park, becoming uninteresting any time soon.
Though I also thought jelly-shoes would be cool forever.

South Park's incredible turn-around time on episodes really makes it much more like the Daily Show or SNL. And both of those shows have to potential to go on for decades.
As for the season opener, it was great, no doubt, but I found it to have more clever humor than laugh out loud humor. That being said, I still find myself chuckling on the way to class whenever I think "I broke the dam!" And Matt and Trey's original vision of doing the Day After Tommorrow with puppets is made so much clearer with this episode. Glad they finally found the time to parody that movie, puppets or not.

The fact that they write the show a few days before it airs is what makes it so great. They then animated it in a few hours and send it off. So you never know when they might slip in something, in a brand new show, that just happened that weekend.

I just made a deal to use a friend's discount and get the first 6 seasons of South Park on DVD for $72 total.

Or you can pretend that it lost its charm so you can blindly follow the negative. Not that I give a shit about the show, I haven't watched it since season 1.

I don't blindly watch The Simpson's but I do appreciate longevity. I'm not saying that The Simpson's is as good as it used to be, but to say it has completely losts its charm is wrong. It's still has a little Charm and I still laugh.Do I Tivo it anymore, no, but if I come across it while channel surfing it'll get a few minutes of watch time. It's still a lot more better than all these other fuckin' shows. Just shoot me a few shows you like and see if they even have half the life that The Simpson's have.

Rarely watch either so I end up seeing 1 or 2 random episodes from some seasons.. I think both are great series though but I prefer south park.

Gotta give the Simpsons credit where credit's due. The Simpsons must be approaching episode 400 by now, while South Park only had its 100th last season. Quality wise, I'm sure there's a great Simpsons episode for every great South Park episode. And don't even tell me that South Park doesn't have its duds. Anyone remember the Great Expectations episode? That being said, yeah, the Simpsons has lost nearly all of what made it great, but it still has a few good laughs every episode.

I love that episode, well not love but I like it as much as I like most of the okay ones, there's only one I absolutely hate so far and that was the season 2 opening about terrance and phillip.

"Not Without My Anus"?!! It's a great ep, and shows the kind of stones Trey and Matt have to play it when the whole world was expecting "Who Is Cartman's Father part 2".
