So I went to the bi-yearly-kinda Plano Sci Fi Toy Expo thing.
The guy who plays Chewie was there (he is there EVERYTIME! Cause he lives 2 towns over) His wife is uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugly by the way. The year before my friend and I went to Chewie's table and stole duct tape from him when his back was turned. The duct tape was green. We also Saw Chewie smoking and the crack of his ass.
Adam Baldwin was there (The guy who plays Jayne) DAMN that is a big handsome man. He wasnt charging or anything, you stood in line, he shook your hand said a word or two, and was a cool guy. I didnt stand in line I just sorta stood 15ft away and gawked like a yokel. I wanted to stand in line and then get to the front of the line and yell "YOu arent R2D2!" or something clever.
That guy who played R2D2 was there too (you know the midget guy) He was little and kinda old. I bet I could have picked him up and thrown him in a trash can, then we he screamed for help I would strike the trash can and demand he only talk in beeps and whistles like R2.
Carrie Fisher was there, but she had a private booth and was charging way too much to see her. SO I didnt see her at all, but if I did I would have told her "This is the worst "When Harry Met Sally" Con I've ever been too"
The coolest thing I saw was the Firefly table, it was just fans of the show giving stuff out and selling the hat that Jayne wears that he got from his mother.
I did get a free Serenity poster so I left happy.
MY big problem was this. The dorks. God I hate the dorks sometimes.DO I really need to see someone almost get in a fist fight over Warp Drives? Or debating Star Wars The movies with the Star Wars the Novels, maybe it would be okay if they had logic and prose. But instead its two dorks with bad facial hair waving around lightsabers.
And the dealers were mostly assholes. Bunch of money grubbing exploiting assholes. Also why is there an erotica/porn thing in the middle of the con? Why is there ALWAYS a booth selling DVD Pirated Godzilla movies, Adult Swim programs, and Star Trek Bloopers? Arent there laws and such?
