I'm writing this post at 3:15 a.m. my time... I just got home from seeing 'Corpse Bride' (which I didn't quite enjoy all that much and 'Serenity' (for the third time)... oh, and I just got home from an accident.

I was traveling home with my two best friends and a motocycle crashes into my car. He was going around cars since two lanes on the freeway were closed due to construction. I was driving along the freeway and all of a sudden I hear a tump and look forward and see a motocycle on the floor with sparks flying out. A guy on a motorcycle hit my car.... Now, I didn't approach him or anything, I couldn't. I was shaken. (This was a horrible week, hell horrible year for me so far. I knew something else was going to happen because a rock from a truck (on the freeway) hit my car and caused a pretty crack on my windsheild.) Construction workers came out to help the guy out and my friend Zavis and I got out of our car to call the police. We got to Riverside 9-1-1, but they couldn't help us, so they transfered us to the Highway Patrol... we are sitting here waiting for about three fucking minutes to talk to someone while this guy is hurt and in pain. My friend Alex gets handed a piece of paper with the guy's information. She calls the number and leaves a message for his mom to let her know about her son. We are still waiting for highway patrol. I call the boy's brother, who lives about 7 exits from where we are, to help us out if we need a ride. He complains and says he has to get up early for work. Whatever, so I call my two moms, my friend's mom Martha and my mom, and they come meet me. So, finally, the highway patrol comes along and takes the guy to the hospital and speaks to him. According to them, he was going 103 on the freeway and hit the divider before plowing into my car. I can't help but feel so sad for this guy and I have no idea how to approach anyone to find out anymore information. I don't know what to do...

Wow, it sounds like you had one hell of a night. I'm glad you're alright.
If you are worried about the guy, maybe you could call his mom and ask how he is doing. She should understand that you are concerned. If he's in the hospital maybe you could visit him or just ask someone there how he is.
You seem to have terrible luck with cars this year.

Jeepers Smurfy. I'm just relieved you and your friends are ok. You're a better person than I to be so concerned about the other guy. As a wise person once said "Things can only get better".:)

Wowzers, that guy is lucky he wasn't killed. Hopefully he's got insurance, and you won't be liable to get your own car fixed.

Glad you're okay, Smurfy. Some of these asses on bikes deserve what they have coming sometimes. They show complete disregard for others on the road , and the laws in general. The way most of these guys drive should only be allowed on a closed course.

I am sure that the police would give you his information, name, phone number, and address. They prolly wrote hime a ticket, and took the bike. So, call the police station, and see what they want you to do. Did you not talk to the police last night?

Either way I'm am very glad to hear you and your friends are fine. You are going to be ok my little smurf. Just think happy thoughts, take a spoon full of sugar, and tap your heals together while saying there is no place like home. Will it help? No, but someone will laugh at you. :)

Call the highway patrol and let them know you need the guy's information for insurance purposes. Once you have his name you can probably find out what hospital and so forth.

Sorry to hear things aren't going so well. That would totally freak me out. At least you got to se Serenity again.

Thanks guys for your kind thoughts. I'm a lil' freaked out (no really freaked out) over this and I couldn't cry last night for some reason. I think it has to do with the way I am.

So, I get into work today and my boss comes up to me and asks why my mom dropped me off. I told him and I am really not in the mood to talk about it and he gets pissed off as I am trying to explain something to him, and says, "You know what, I could really give a shit. I'm trying to be sociable." No joke. I called my mom crying because I've taken so much abuse here and told her that I can't quit until I have another job. I just really want to go home and get some flippin' sleep!

You know what, you boss isn't supposed to talk to you like that. That's a hostle work environment my friend, go to HR and get something done about it.

(althougth that may just make things worse, now that i think about it)

I was tryin' to do some cheering up. There were some really funny S&M themed Smurf pics, but they somehow seemed, inappropriate

I think she would have been cheered up more by a little S&M than by something that is a reference to one of the lamest movies ever made. Well, besides Hulk.

EEEEEK! You warned me, but EEEEEEK!

Back on subject, Smurfy, you are a good person to care, but take it from my past expierince that the reasons you exchange insurance info and not personal info are legion. First, other than the accident, you have no connection to this person. It is not your fault that the two vehicles collided, by getting personally involved you open your self to whatever venom this person may want to vent. If this person wanted to ask you for a settlement out of court, he could still hit you with a lawsuit or an insurance claim. Not that it looks like you have to worry about that, but if he wants to hit you, you are giving him an opening while your defences are down. I went through this, and you are better to try to leave it alone. Trust me.

Well, I have no idea who this guy is or if he had insurance or not. Basically, the highway patrol took care of everything since he was on the highway badly injured. And after taking a couple days off to think about it, you are right. I shouldn't get involved. I just guess I care too much and in the past have had that care thrown back into my face. Thanks for the advice hun. I'm just going through so much. My boss being mean to me and then this. Just too much. It could be worse though, so I can't complain much. I don't know. This is just too much for me to handle at this moment.

I don't know about Gaggy Smurf, they lived on the fringe of the forest.

I have always preferred hanging out and drinking beer with the "extra" dwarves Disney didn't tell you about...Cheezy, Teasy, Queasy (watch out for him and Tequila), Easy, and of course...Sleazy.
