So, I was checking the latest news stories today and happened to click on a story with this picture on it:

It is part of UNICEF's new campaign about war and children, but the picture is so disturbing to me, that I don't think it is really going to make the message clear to people. So sad. I mean, look what they did to Smurfette!

I had no idea that Smurf's had toes....Matter of fact, that's the first time I've seen a Smurf without shoes.
Evidently there is a 25 sec TV spot that goes with it. I can't wait to see that.

I find it odd that the art was actually done by the creator of the Smurfs, Peyo. Go fig.

They ment to do it as a good thing, but I think the way they present it is all wrong.
I mean, I bought 22 year old Smurfs cups off ebay a while back and god, I look at them now and can't help but feel sad.

I remember Care Bears. What about them... I'm sure it would make a few people sad to see some of their trees burning and ... a few legs and arms strewn about. They were always so nice. always helped everyone. well except for that thunderstorm bear .. ya know the one with the clouds on his belly? or was that nighttime bear... i don't remember..

No, actually it was the mental picture of RB yanking your hair. It was the same problem JJ has when somebody says something perverted to me.
It's like thinking that your sister has sex. And then with RB. So RB is going to be my common law brother-in-law. And then the whole hurting you concept, and you are basically like a little sister to me....and you guys will be staying in my guest room on holidays and I will hear the whips and chains slapping while I am preparing the jello mold and trying to block it out...
