Ok, So long time poster and friend of all Zen7s is going to be a mother. What a beautiful and wonderful gift she has been given. Im sure im not the only one when I say that we are extremely happy for her. I wonder if Zen would let all her friends here on the boards who cant be there with her, to sort of help out. So what do you say Zen, would you let us name your baby. I know it sounds crazy but I think it would be like a freakin Internet milestone.

Obviously you have final pick. But we could have a thread where people post suggestions, then you pick like your favorite 5 and we all vote on the one it should be. Just an idea!

So sure, even though JJ thinks it's something only for him we will do it anyway. Let's begin the official "Name Zen's Baby" thread!

We were going to go with Emma for a girl(named after our lovely Ozchick of course), but some really close friends of ours beat us to having a girl. Bastards.

you could go with Mercedes Benz if it's a girl, and keep the car theme.

Or Yugo Kia has a nice ring to it also.

You could always name a boy Drew. It's a good name. Or if you have a girl, you could name her...Drew.

I don't mean to beat Robbo to any jokes here.

We named our son Rance, after one of my best buds. Only heard of a couple out there. I think Opie's brother has that name, too. Our daughter, Chelsey. The boy also answers to "Dumbass". I've got a few things in the parenting dept. in common with Red Foreman. :p

Zens-You could name the girl Seven...
and if a boy, name him Jones. Just tell him that he has to be a doctor when he grows up.

Though if you have to name your first child Chris, then I guess it works both ways.

I dig Maggie quite a bit. Margaret...not so much, but I'm not sure that a 40-year-old(eventually I mean) would want to be named Maggie.

I've been protective of names I like for a while since my dad's wife stole one of my sister's names she wanted for her kids to name one of their daughters. But I was just thinking that I don't want to have kids so really I have no reason to be protective!!!

So without further ado:

Girls:
Isabella
Annabelle

Boys:
Jacob
Jack

I also like "Alex" for a boy or girl.

actualsize
07-29-2005, 10:40 PM
Boy: Vance, or Van for short. A family name that I never got to use because we've had girls, and snip-snip, there will be no others. Sounds either dignified/preppie or surfer-cool, depending how you use it.

Girl: I'm partial to Tracy, but as for a girl's name, I like Fiona (Princess Fiona from Shrek) or Allison (Elvis Costello song.)

I think if I have a daughter, I want to name her Dana so her nickname would be Zoul.

jjcourtright
08-01-2005, 04:52 PM
Right, because Ghostbusters is going to be a big hit with the kids 10 years from now...or are you saying that you would call her Zoul? Everytime her friends call up to talk to Dana you could tell them, "There is no Dana, only Zoul."

karmattack
08-01-2005, 04:59 PM
...the latter.

...and I'd feel better about yelling "Zoul" when she was in trouble. Because of True Lies, it is no longer possible for me to yell "Dana" without the Ahnold accent, which would make me laugh, and I wouldn't be able to punish Zoul.

After watching 5 hours of Pride and Prejudice yesterday, I'm being to think Darcy is a good name for either boy or girl. That and I think I need to use the phrase "vexes me so" more often.

Actually, she's contractually obligated to name her kid Ryall, even if it's a girl. Part of the fine print in the rules here.
