Lance does it again!!! (http://apnews.excite.com/article/20050724/D8BHS4180.html) I know that in my "I don't have a car, but I ride a bike" world this played a bigger part than in the outside world, but DAMN! Seven years in a row. No one has ever won more than four in a row before, and he has now shattered all standing records. It is just amazing!

Wouldn't that mean that he shattered the record two years ago when he won 5 in a row?

yes, he did, but he took it a little furher by adding two wins to the five he had, so he could be sure that no one could break that record for at least seven years.

C'mon, was there ever any doubt ?

When someone from my hometown represents the U.S., you can count on good things to happen.

Lance is from Fangirl's Couch? Wow!

...and no it is not Buster Keaton hanging from the clock tower. It is Harold Lloyd.

What's coolest about it is its a real record. It isnt like single season home runs where it doesnt exactly compare to previous records due to use of different balls and whatnot. I'm sure there have been advances in cycling (such as aerodynamics) but all of the competitors have access to that.

Okay, I don't have as much time to hold you hand as I used to, so I will make this brief.
