I've noticed more and more websites using these little ad machines on thier sites. Frankly it's very annoying. Newsarama just started using it, and since they are brought to us by the same folks that back this homey little corner of the web, i wanted to state my opinion that they are a distraction and piss me off. When i am reading an article, i don't need an advert (most of the time it has nothing to do with the article) popping up if i accidentally scroll over it. I have no problem with hyperlinks that take me to somewhere where i can learn more about what's being discribed in an article, but i resent something be sold to me in that way, frankly. I know the 'Shoot isn't doing this yet, and frankly i hope we never do.

Sorry, just had to get that off of my chest.
