I've been looking forward to seeing The Aristocrats movie for months... i hear its supposed to be hysterical. I just read an article about how CNN has decided not to show the movie in any of its theaters. Whats the deal with that? How bad can some comedians telling a joke actually be?

I must admit, I hadn't given the movie you are talking about much thought until now. Did CNN say they "banned" it, or just chose to play other more popular things in more theaters. Sometimes it makes a difference.

See here (http://moviepoopshoot.com/forums/showpost.php?p=85253&postcount=8). The South Park clip is great. Definitely whets the appetite for the rest of the movie.
I didn't even know that the Cable News Network had a chain of theatres. I want to see this movie though, hopefully it will play somewhere around here.

I can't believe they are actually banning it when it has no violence no nudity no sex its just bad language.

Well, AMC doesn't, normally, show un-rated or NC-17 stuff, but they also don't ban said films, without further consideration. I suppose this makes them one of the more progressive chains.
As a former AMC employee, I was always amused, when patrons would flee the theater, during Peter Greenaway's "The Cook, the Thief, his Wife, and her Lover."

The audio clips of some of the big comedians give a great preview of the movies obscenity... I can't wait!

I'm seeing it Friday night. The director is speaking afterward.
So when does it come out for everyone else to see?

I take it back. I'm seeing it on Saturday night instead now.
I think it opens this weekend across the US, but just indy theaters are carrying it.
yeah, i haven't been able to find anyone around my area who's showing it yet. which sucks. :(
The site I went to says that it opens nationwide on 8/12/05. No one is playing it within a 40 mile radius of me though. That sucks. I kinda want to see it more now just because it seems more unlikely that I'll get to.

according to yahoo it comes out july 29th

I knew I should've checked a site name I recognized...
Actually Yahoo also says in only LA and NY on 7/29. I guess those states are special, they get to play it before any other state.
Since it's limited theaters, and the ones around here suck I probably will have to travel to see it anyway.

Best hour and a half you can spend in a theater. I don't think I have laughed that hard in quite some time. Gilbert Godfrey, Sarah Silverman, the editorial staff of the Onion and most memorably Bob Saget make the movie not only hysterical, but I am so buying it on DVD. I have never heard that much disguisting acts in my life. If you have the means, I highly suggest going to see it and if not then you have to purchase it on DVD.

Everyone should find a way to go and see this movie. It was absolutly hysterical- might even have been the funniest movie I have ever seen. I wear, I almost peed in my pants like 20 times. GO SEE IT!!
if i can find it i will, and i guess i'll wear some Depends so as to not ruin the fancy stadium seats at the theatre.

Hey All!!!
I just found out that we have the opportunity to become an Aristocrat ourselves! This contest looks awesome:

Who has what it takes?!
That sounds like fun. Too bad I don't know what the joke is yet, or I'd probably try and enter.

I know you can't at work(for lack of speakers)...nor would I advise it, but here (http://www.spschat.com/RareMedia/videos/southparkjoke-thearistocrats.wmv) is Cartman doing his version of it, if you have other means. It'll at least give you the idea behind the joke.

Just from watching the South Park version of the joke, I have to see this movie. That has to be the sickest joke ever told...

Cartman's version is pretty middle of the road for the movie.

Thanks, I remember it posted earlier in this thread. I watched it, but it's difficult to read lips on a cartoon (or at all really). I plan to listen to it once I can get to a computer with speakers and internet access. I tried last weekend at a friends house, but their internet service provider sucks so the internet wasn't working at the time. Someday though, someday...

Yea the Cartman joke is hillarious, the movie especially the scene with the mime is outrageous! I am starting to think of my own original ways of telling the joke, hey, maybe i will enter the contest myself...ahhaha :D
