Dave, you're nothing to me now. You're not a brother, you're not a friend. I don't want to know you or what you do. I don't want to see you at the hotels, I don't want you near my house. When you see our mother, I want to know a day in advance, so I won't be there. You understand?

We had it on, watched about a half hour while eating dinner, but it was so damned hot in the house that we decided to drink our wine in the back yard. All I caught after the first 30 minutes was that they were gone over Thanksgiving. That ain't right.

What next, will you pretend to make up by taking him fishing?

Well, it's a minimum 40 day course, most likely a full 2 months, with hard cases lasting as long as three. The kids parents all lied to them about where they were going and especially how long they were going to be there. So far my "favorite" kid is the girl that they label as the habitual lier, she is obviously a spoiled girl who has totally learned to manipulate her parents is tring the same with the councilers, all of whom have "earth" names like Wolf or Waterfall or some other nonsense. this show is just fun all around. I hope i will be allowed back into the family when it's over.

My favorite counselor name was "Little Big Bear." Shouldn't it just be "Bear?"

I saw a version of this last year where it was British kids sent to somewhere in America. It was friggin hilarious. My fave part was when they made this whinging chick cut off her dreadlocks coz she had nits. :D

I must need to come out from under my rock down in the bowels of my cave, 'cause I've never even heard of this show...

Your cave must be adjacent to mine, because I'm clueless as well.

I had it tivoed and watched it. Kind of fun. My only complaint is that they took one hour of footage and made it last two hours by doing this constant "coming up next...blah blah blah.." but at least I could just fast forward it rather than watching it all twice.
I liked the last season one on cable too. They sent those poor British kids to BFE Utah out here. It's some really rugged, unpleasant country.
