View Full Version : I am bad luck

I really am the epitome of bad luck. A few weeks ago, I lost my wallet. Credit card, drivers license, and about $40. I just received my replacement license a few days ago, and guess what happen when I went to start my car today? It won't start!!!! I am absolutely certain I didn't leave my lights on overnight. In fact, the battery is just weak (dim lights, slow windshield wiper). Doesn't even have the decency to die on me. This is just one of the example of what I befalls me on a weekly basis. On the other hand, my friends around me always seem to be doing just fine. I always tell them: "Your future is well and secure. How do I know this? Because you know me, that's why." I take people's bad karma away.

Truly, I am cursed.

Yeah, to quote Qui-Gon Jin -

"Your focus determines your reality."

Focus on the positive and things will be great. Dwell on the negative and things will suck ass.

You probably live on the first floor, so you can't even jump to your death. Count your blessings. You don't have cancer, and you don't have AIDS. Life could be worse. You could have been working for Enron...

Life could be worse. You could have been working for Enron...
... or you could've been screwed over by Enron.

You might just have a bad connection to your battery. Bad luck is a bunch of crap, my friend--don't let the Man get you down.

And attitude is everything, but that doesn't mean that a positive outlook can solve any problems. Some days just suck, and the best thing you can do (if you can even get the car to start to go home from work) is just go home and pass out, and pray the next day is better. However, if you just accept that life is is just a big turd that you believe can never be shined, well, you are screwing yourself, because life can be a beautiful thing.

As corny as it sounds, and it is corny, I think like Annie, the sun will come out tomorrow. I think that was Annie, but you get the idea--you just keep trying, and eventually things get better.

I've been there man. It just keeps getting worse and worse until nothing else could go wrong and then Oops, you spoke to soon.

It will pass. Then you can only hope the good things start rolling in like that. They almost never do, but it does get better. Just know that no matter how bad things are, as long as you can, eat, sleep , drink, and breathe. Things could always get worse.

Here's one for ya.....

We're leaving together
but still it's farewell
and maybe we'll come back,
to earth, who can tell?

I guess there is no one to blame
we're leaving ground (leaving ground)
will things ever be the same again?
It's the final countdown.

The final countdown.

Oh, We're heading for Venus
and still we stand tall
cause maybe they've seen us
and welcome us all
with so many light years to go
and things to be found (to be found)
I'm sure that we'll all miss her so
It's the final countdown.

The final countdown.

The final countdown (final countdown).

oh...oh

The final countdown.

oh...oh

It's the final countdown.

The final countdown.

The final countdown. (final countdown)

It's the final countdown
we're leaving together
the final countdown
we'll all miss her so
It's the final countdown (final countdown)
oh, it's the final countdown.

:D :D :D

Okay, how about this one?

This is the song that enver ends, it just goes on and on my friends,
some people started singing it, not knowing what it was,
but they'll continue singing it forever just because this is the song that never ends...

Quit acting like a bunch of...

Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves
We'd hear it from the people of the town
They'd call us
Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves
And every night the men would come around
and lay their money down..
[repeat]

Just thought I'd Cher that with you.

Rather than the epitome of bad luck, you strike me as the epitome of Murphy's Law.

Murphy had some good laws. My favorite being "Nothing can be foolproof because fools are so ingenious." The one I quote the most especially at work is "Before anything can be done, something else must be done first."

I used to be mesmerized by her belly button when I was kid- the Sonny and Cher Show would come on and that bare midriff... oh yeah...

I guess the belly button is somewhere up between her nipples now...

More like her nipples are somewhere down near her belly button now.

Most abductees report that the Grey's have no navels. Although there are varying accounts, so I suppose it is possible it could have one.

You aren't half as bad. Let me explain, my wallet got stollen a couple of weeks ago too. We got all the credit cards canceled, another account opened, (the checks) and our social security cards taken,... all the things you'll put into a wallet. Anyway, I couldn't drive anywhere until my license was sent to me. When it gets to me I go to drive and my car won't start either. No jumper cables so I either walk or take my roomates car. I take the car. When I get to where I was going the stupid car breaks down. Everyone I know is busy or at work, so I have to walk. I don't know how far it was exactly, but for someone who has had selveral polsy, it is definetly not a little stroll in the park!!! My car gets broken into tons of times. Someone at work backed into me, and now my paint is coming off. Oh yeah, my 12 year old son is going to jail. Anyone who has worse luck than that... I laugh at your misfortune! (ha, freakin, ha)

my advice 2u:

keep a semi-positive outlook on life because if you are too positive, then when something comes along and screws up your day, then you will be ver sad/mad, but if you are too negative, when bad things happen, you will become more and more negative na dyou will wind up taking Zoloft or something, but if you are semi- positive, something bad happens, you are still kinda positive, and you will find something to do that will make you happier!

thanks 4 reading buddy! :D

I don't understand how he keeps coming back. I don't know crap about computers, but I do know I hate him. Someone make it stop, before I wind up in Canadian prison for beating a 13-year-old, SEAL wannabe to death in a "swarm" that went to far.
