One question: What is Kevin's beef with Seth MacFarlane and Family Guy? He wrote a joke about him in one of the Clerks cartoons and made fun of him in the commentary. It's like 3:45 and I don't feel like looking for the reason right now, so could someone tell me why Kevin thinks Seth is a serious piece of [censored]?

Halloo, new Polish person that is called Carozza! All are welcome here. I think you will find our people are not unlike your own. Alright, I'm done. I can't answer your question, but I want to give you a heads up that you are in hostile territory. That is to say, I'm not sure what kind of responses this post is likely to elicit.

I love Family Guy and while I can understand not liking the show as an abstract concept, there are people here who actually are not entertained by the program. Moreover, they consider it an aberrant violation of all that real comedy represents. To them it's nothing more than a grotesque and shameless attempt to steal glory from the one true cartoon comedy. Your earnest cries of, "Don't have a sacred cow, man!" will fall on stolid ears, my friend.

But know this, that they are good people. Intelligent, funny, and good natured people. They're opinionated and headstrong while managing to be sarcastic all the while. You have to love that. I don't know if you plan to stick around once you find your answer, but if you do, give people the benefit of the doubt and read posts and replies as if written with tongue firmly planted in cheek. That's what keeps me regular. Ah-yep.

That's an odd saying, isn't it? Tongue in cheek. I guess that's what you did in the old days if you couldn't get a handle on winking your eye. You how some people can't wiggle their ears?

Anyway...

Good luck with the answer.

You're new AND Polish and you want us to go easy on you? One or the other, sure, but both...you ask too much, man!

As for FAMILY GUY, not sure about Kevin's response, but it could be that he just likes funny, original, clever, well-written comedies, and surely we all agree that FAMILY GUY is none of these things (right, Tom?). That's my guess.

Then again, the name "McFarlane" has been known to drive people in the comics industry crazy, just on general principal. Same as if the guy's name was "Seth Liefeld" or "Seth Shooter."

I don't care what anyone says Family Guy was non-stop laughs and all should appreciate that they at least had a joke for every second of all 30 minutes of it. I think some other shows should take some notes. According to Jim is a good one, too. ATJ proves that John Belushi's brother really is funny he is just cast into awful movies.

So, Kevin made a joke about Family Guy? Does that mean Ryall is just towing the company line? Not that I'd ever question the admin. . . again.

I don't know what Kevin actually said about the show, but no, I think the show sucks all on my own without any prompting from anyone else.

You know, that's what someone who is towing the company line would say.

I can only think of 7 fighting words man:
"[censored] Piss [censored] [censored] [censored] Mother[censored] and Tits."
-George Carlin's 7 words you can't say on T.V.

"I don't care what anyone says Family Guy was non-stop laughs and all should appreciate that they at least had a joke for every second of all 30 minutes of it."

That's true. And of those 1,320 jokes, maybe two or three of them were funny. Quality, not quantity.

Am I crazy, or did psychofiend just compliment himself on his own good taste? While I can admire the self-esteem, I might have to question the board being used for Daily Affirmations.

Good post, Pat. That kind of thing WOULD be inappropriate. I think you missed the point of the thread, though.

I do not know what you are talking about, even I know most ofmy opinions are sad and disturbing. For example my definition of the FCC is "people who make TV and radio no fun."
