Good god, I think I just saw the worst promo ever. Seems Fox has finally found the end of their ideas on reality shows.

It looks hilarious to me...I'm a traffic accident kinda gal though. Love to watch a fight, but hate being in one. I'll give it a whirl!

Ok... so here's the real question... When did fox have a good idea for a reality show?

When they made a spin-off out of a crappy cartoon that debuted on the unbearble Tracy Ullman show... And then cancelled Tracy Ullman.

Oh, Mr. quick draw on the response, I'm onto you now, you bastard!

Yeah, but what was that, 1989? The last couple of years I don't think their batting average has been all that great.

Ummm...how hard have they worked to stymie Simpsons and Family Guy writers? If they could've blown it, they would've, which is my point. Fox screws up everything.

I wouldn't call airing the second-longest running episodic TV show in history a mistake, but that's just me...

I'll always respect FOX for giving us The Tracey Ulman Show, Werewolf, Duet, The Simpsons, The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr., The X-Files, Millenium, Futurama, Malcomb in the Middle, Arrested Development, 21 Jump Street, Space: Above and Beyond, 24, Ally McBeal, King of the Hill, and House.

I respect them for bringing some of those shows into the world. But I loathe them for the shoddy treatment they extended to some of those beautiful babies.

You see, the problem with this question is that you are assuming there is actually a good reality TV show out there. There isn't.

I'll always respect FOX for giving us ...What about American Gladiators? I can't remember but it seems like they had a bunch of real doozies in the early days.

I don't see the connection between your statement and mine. No one in their right mind would say the Simpsons is a mistake. My statement points out that Fox has hastled some of the greatest show writers, in spite of their success. I said nothing about the Simpsons being a mistake.
You see, the problem with this question is that you are assuming there is actually a good reality TV show out there. There isn't.
I dunno. I for one have held that opinion for as long as reality tv has been the thing, but my friend [who's hard to impress] said this show with Stallone training boxers is neat. Have you seen that, man? I personally haven't yet, but if I were going to check out a show, I'd take this guy's recommendation--he's pretty hard to entertain. I probably won't, because I just don't watch hardly any tv anymore, especially reality tv.
About all I watch is Law and Order, Family Guy and the Simpsons, with the occasional episode of Southpark and some Adult Swim when I catch it. Not much really holds my interest these days.

Very true. I stand corrected--Fox has done a few things right (on purpose). Man, how big an "X-Phile" I was.
When I first saw the title of this thread, I got excited about the sequal to Dare Devil, then I did a search and found this... http://www.fox.com/hellskitchen/ and decided with that and the recent demise of Arrested Developement, Fox would get no more eyeball time from me. I can wait for this season of The Simpsons to show up on the WB in reruns...

I am not calling it demise just yet.
My favorite TV show can not be cancelled. If so I am boycotting fox! ( except for 70s show, simpsons, Idol, and football.)
If it is moved to another night, that is okay by me, as long as it is not MOnday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday.

Does anyone remember Andy Richter or Fastlane? Ok, I admit Fastlane sucked, but it was mildly entertaining if you left your mind behind.

Sure there is, It's the Amazing Race and it just wrapped up last night on CBS. Great show! Kristi and I were dancing around our apartment with joy for the winning team.

As much as I enjoy Iron Chef, I like Iron Chef America that much more. I can actually see myself eating what is cooked on IC America, the crazy shit they cook up on the original is...well, crazy shit.

I actually watched that last night. I don't really consider that a "Reality Show" as it is just a month long race. Hell, a NASCAR race isn't considered a reality show.
Anyways, I saw the opening minutes where they reviewed previous legs of the race and noticed that the black couple always seemed to help others whenever it was needed, especially the older couple. I thought to myself that I wanted them to win. Especially after seeing one of the other teams just drive by the two that rolled their SUV over. Hell, they didn't even stop to see if anyone was alright. For a minute there, I was really pissed that it looked as if the two selfish bastards were gonna pull it off, but then the black couple made up all of that ground, with no money or belongings, when the one place was closed and everyone had to wait for the next morning.
Yeah, I was pleased with the result of the race.

Ditto! for me on that one there.
I think the crazy shit they cook, makes that show worth watching, that and the crazy voice overs. It's missing both of those things in the American version.
