Contrary to popular belief, I don't post here just to rip on people or criticize, so I'm sorry if you take it that way, but, Mr. Bonds, why do you have to rag on IGN.com (http://www.ign.com) in your signature?
They have reviews of games the day the come out, rather than a week or two later (cough, cough). They have detailed coverage for ALL games on ALL platforms, including PC (cough, cough). They also have pretty good music, movie, and comic coverage, too.
Now ya know I love the 'Shoot, but come on. I like other sites too. Do we have to get mean about it?

Honestly? I really don't have THAT much against IGN, i just thought it was a clever sig, maybe a cool t-shirt idea. Sure, they can review games on the day they come out, but that's because they're a bigger site and aren't a weekly column. FOR THE MOST PART I review games the same week they're released (unless they're late getting to me in the mail) but IGN has that upper hand as, you know, they're more than one guy. Same thing with PC game reviews. If it was more than just me doing it, sure, maybe we'd have some. As it stands I am THE Poop Shoot game reveiwer, and I'm only weekly.
My only gripe with IGN is that sometimes they tend to be a bit biased when it comes to certain games and/or systems. Oh, and their DVD section's new editor is a wanker and constantly writing weird stuff just to geta rise out of his readers.
I visit IGN pretty regularly (sometimes just to see if a review agreed or disagreed with my opinion of a game...usually the latter) and my game collection is listed there, and I've posted on the message boards on occasion. They're a game site like any other...but damn it, i'm the little guy compaired to them, and i'd like folk to read MY column over thiers more often than not, hence by "bashing" sig. I'm a comedian by nature, and i just thought it was clever.
Short question, long answer.

Well, fair enough- that's a more detailed answer than I expected...

Its entirely possible to serve two masters. I read IGN daily (I even own the ultra rare IGN64.COM Magazine), but I'd trust Ian's opinion over their's any day. Ever browse the ign corporate site? They offer their advertising and statistical powers to game developers, but the way they describe it sounds like the "males ages 18-34 mind control ray. Control the opinions of the most powerful market on earth!! Resistance is futile!!!". Most of their reviews are pretty objective, but I have a feeling they've gone a bit easier on a few (very few) lesser titles that have fronted the cash.
