I was wondering what Comicbooks everyone reads that they are thinking of dropping, but for whatever reason (habit, completism, just plain hope) haven't yet. and why haven't you. We talk alot about the books we really like, and the books we hate, but i'm kind of interested in the books we buy, but are ambivilant about. I'll go ahead and start.

Hawkman (DC) - I bought this book on the promise of James Robinson knowing in my heart that he wouldn't stick around. I was ready to drop it at issue six, then JR wrote the time past story, so i suck around a little longer, but i think that this book is goner at the end of this arc.

JLA (DC) - I think that i buy this out of habit, and the fact that there is nothing much else out the day it comes out. I don't think that i have really enjoyed it since Grant Morrison, and i know that i haven't looked forward to it, been itching to know what comes next, in years.

So those are two of mine, what about you guys?

Batman (DC): I liked it at first, then started to suck. Kept buying out of habit.

Superman (DC): Read Batman...

I've been reading Forge comics (something I found at Barnes and Nobles that looked good). It has five or six different comics in it and it $10. It is a montly magazine but I've been losing track of it.

I actually cleared my list out a few months ago, so I'm fairly content right now. I'd shed stuff I tried out but didn't quite like. Then I had the fortune of losing a few I bought out of habit to cancellation, but I'm ashamed to admit which ones. I guess the closest would be the TransFormer books. The first few stories I hated, and am only buying as a completist. I'd stuck with the original series all the way through to the end, Generation 2 and all, every mini, so forth. Moral obligation is outweighing my frustration at their fast and loose continuity and cliche stories.

Unfortunately for you Code6 i think that CrossGen has discontinued that magazine in favor of regular tradepaperbacks.

come on people, i can't believe that none of you don't by things out of habit or in the hope that it will get better or in my case buy Green lantern (I did quit gettin it early in Judds run) in the hopes of catching a glimpse of Guy Gardner. I

I'm shocked and yet I don't care.

I started buying Thunderbolts a while ago because my friend said it was really kick ass. Never really got into it, but I keep buying it. I received a subscription to Thor as a gift from a relative several years ago. Never liked Thor outside of the Avengers, but I keep renewing it anyways. Also, whenever I find back issues of the 2099 series I feel compelled to buy them. For some reason I always wanted to like the 2099 series.
