Who hates it after listening to this? (http://thestranger.com/audio/jefferson_starbucks.mp3)

What's a Starbucks?
Just kidding. Actually we just got our first Starbucks in town a month ago. I haven't been there yet. I don't really drink coffee to often so I haven't had a reason to go.
So anyway back on topic; could you sum up what I am supposed to be hearing, my work is cheap and stuck me with the only computer without speakers. Thanks.

They remade We Built This City into We Built This Starbucks...on heart and soul.
Worst song ever...remade. Maybe it's a good thing you don't have speakers. I'd hate to be sued for your eardrums being shattered. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
Ugh, Why would they desecrate a song like that? /forums/images/icons/frown.gif
Is this it? Is this what the world has become?
Does anyone else feel like the world has grown a giant avalanche of commercials, which ultimately devours everything in it's sight and changes it into advertisements, so that greed once more can take over the minds of our humble people?
Ok, so maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but the idea does seem inevitable.

Everybody should read the accompanying story. (http://www.thestranger.com/2005-03-03/last_days.html) Starts about midway down the page. Hilarious.

I drink tea.
Tea is awesome! Oolong is my favorite.
Though hot cocoa with mini marshmallows is good for when no tea is available.

I also drink tea, Earl Grey, or the black tea from China.
For sleepy time, nothing beats Chamomile, (exept Jack Daniels)

Have you ever had Celestial Seasonings "Sleepytime Tea"? Shit will knock you out just like NyQuil. I'm all about Chai Tea, I drink it every morning while reading the Letters to the Editor. Just this week I switched to Decaff. Tastes the same, but makes me feel better.

I'm not fond of coffee in general at the moment so the only thing I'll be singing to that music is "they made it shitty"

Any tea that can knock out Bears has to be good. I was raised on that stuff. It is most excellent!

<font color="purple">When I was younger, I wasn't allowed anything to drink after 6 p.m. because I would wake up constantly in the middle of the night to pee, so my bed time was always whenever I got knocked out from the tea if I had to drink it that night.

Guess I am zany because Sleepytime does not knock me out, however, the Tension Tamer does.

I am asleep about fifteen minutes after a cup of this tea. Most other sleep aid teas I can drink by the gallon and they do nothing for me. Painkillers don't really work on me either. Whenever I go to the dentist, they think I am a pill junkie because after I tell them that Novacaine isn't that effective on me they just roll their eyes and grab the drill. They don't belive me untill I start screaming.
My mom always used beer. /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif

Turkey, Beer, Cheese, and Jack Daniels.
mummm, Bourbon and Honey, Granny's cough medicine.

You got Bourbon? We got Sleepy Time tea with Vineger and honey.
VINEGAR I tell you. I think that was the secret ingredient so we did not pretend to be sick.
Vinegar in your tea? ...Isn't that like child abuse? /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
Why/how...would anyone even think of doing that?
(dumbfounded)

It's those gawd damn Germans.
Now the swede side fed me Brandy (or bourbon), and the Jewish side fed me wine.
Hey, my mom is German.
Why you gotta be dissin' my mom? /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Mmmm...Bourbon and honey. That's why I pretended to be sick.
Oh, and Dave, have you tried Jim Beam Pancake Syrup? Sweet nectar of the gods!
Moonshine'll cure what's ailing ya...or at least make it burn so bad you forget you're sick.
Teething infant? Rub a little bourbon on the little nipper's gums. Relieves pain and helps put 'em to sleep.
Bourbon is God's remedy.

When my mom was little her goldfish started looking sick and floating toward the top. She asked her mom what she should do and my grandmother responded, "Give it some Bourbon." Not realizing my mom would take her seriously, my mom got an eye droper and the Bourbon bottle and gave the little fish some alcohol. The fish started whipping around the tank. After that it, seemed to float up to the top just to get some bourbon and live three years after that.
Completely true story. Everyone in the family can verify the alcoholic goldfish story.
Thanks, now I know what to do next time my goldfish get sick. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

When our goldfish turned belly up about to die, my brothers and I dared each other until one of us swallowed it whole.
Sure beat the vinager!
