Since it’s officially the 2nd of March and there’s no missive from our fearless leader, I have taken matters into my own hands. Here are the questions for the month of March from my home office in Northern Virginia.

1. Which do you prefer: Green vegetables, Mr. Green Jeans or Green beer and why?

2. What will you be wary of during the Ides of March?

3. Easter in March: Like or Dislike – what say you?

4. Do you plan on entering a March Madness pool? If so, who do you think will win?

5. Do you think that there should be an international law that every month should include at least one three-day weekend?

6. What would be your pick for this month’s holiday movie – “Celtic Pride”, “The Commitments”, “Leprechaun” or “Behind the Green Door”?

7. Lastly, would you kiss me if I said that I was Irish?

Whats a vegetable? I do not like beer that they have to force you to drink by putting food coloring in it, so alll that is left ie Mr. Green Jeans. I used to watch the captain every week as a boy! Ahh the memories.

2. What will you be wary of during the Ides of March?

hmm, It's a tuesday this year, I will be wary of my boss coming to me saying I have to work saturday.

3. Easter in March: Like or Dislike – what say you?

As long as there is a big ass ham and a kite, I don't care what month it is. (My family has a tradition to fly kites on Easter.)

4. Do you plan on entering a March Madness pool? If so, who do you think will win?

Gophers.

5. Do you think that there should be an international law that every month should include at least one three-day weekend?

hmmmm, before that I think the law should be that every employer must offer paid holidays. Then we can worry about the 3-day thing.

6. What would be your pick for this month’s holiday movie – “Celtic Pride”, “The Commitments”, “Leprechaun” or “Behind the Green Door”?

Leprechaun. That little dude is funny!

7. Lastly, would you kiss me if I said that I was Irish?

If the result was to drink massive ammounts of alcohol, you would not have to be Irish. (no tongue though)

Now, when I say "green vegetables," I mean it as actual green vegetables, like okra and broccoli, not the way I would've meant it in college.

No. International laws make me nervous. I don't want to be dragged into the Hague to explain why I was in the office on an International Holiday. I would like to see a Constitutional Amendment though.

Behind the Green Door. Porn uber alles.

 more snow 

3. Easter in March: Like or Dislike – what say you?
 Easter is always good. Though since it's in March it gives me more time before summer to lose all the weight I'll gain from eating the cadbury cream eggs. 

4. Do you plan on entering a March Madness pool? If so, who do you think will win?
 No, you'd have to be mad to enter a pool in March. It's too cold to swim. 

5. Do you think that there should be an international law that every month should include at least one three-day weekend?
Hells yea, though I say we skip three and jump right to asking for 4, you know people will want this after only having three for a few years. 

6. What would be your pick for this month’s holiday movie – “Celtic Pride”, “The Commitments”, “Leprechaun” or “Behind the Green Door”?
 Um, I've only seen one of those mentioned (Leprechaun) and I'm still racking up late charges for losing the damn thing while moving. So I pick none of the above.

2. What will you be wary of during the Ides of March?The girl's birthday. I know it's around there, and if I miss it I'll probably get stabbed.

3. Easter in March: Like or Dislike – what say you?I really have no bearing on the Sunday after the first full moon of the Vernal Equinox. But if the Chrsitains want to add their holiday to a Pagan celebration, then by all means go for it.

4. Do you plan on entering a March Madness pool? If so, who do you think will win?Like Ryall, I haven't paid attention in years. Being from South Carolina, the only two teams I know of are the South Carolina Gamecocks, and Duke. If I had to pick between the two I'd say USC in a big upset.

5. Do you think that there should be an international law that every month should include at least one three-day weekend? Wee-kend? I don't know what type of launguage that word is, but it sounds to me like you're all for big gov'ment. You ask me, gov'ments all ready too big. Go back to Virginia with your Yankee Commie languages.

6. What would be your pick for this month’s holiday movie – “Celtic Pride”, “The Commitments”, “Leprechaun” or “Behind the Green Door”?Tough call. I hate to agree with Ryall again, but the pre-Rhinoplasty Aniston is still fun. She should suffer the reminder of that movie just because I can't turn on the TV or go past any magazine rack without seeing the most heartbreaking story of the year: Are Brad and Jen getting Divorced? And some people may have died in Asia when they fell into a puddle.

4. Do you plan on entering a March Madness pool? If so, who do you think will win? I'm going to be running it again this year, I haven't looked at it real hard, but i figure that Duke is usually good in the tourney. Alabama is out in the Sweet 16.

 I don't know because I still have no idea what the hell "Ides" are. Perhaps I'll be wary of fanatic Shakespearian scholars who try to explain it to me.

 Sure. Go Runnin' Utes! I'll probably put Illinois because I lack imagination.

 No way. It would corrupt the sanctity of the weekend to allow Friday or Monday in. Our country was founded on the principle of a Saturday-Sunday weekend as God intended. What's next, a Wednesday-Thursday "weekend" in the middle of the week? Pervert.

3. Easter in March: Like or Dislike – what say you? Easter in March means Ash Wednesday in February. I was far too unprepared for that, how can I give up drinking when the sun is still setting at 4:30. 

4. Do you plan on entering a March Madness pool? If so, who do you think will win? Usually do one at work. The girl that usually wins doesn't follow basketball, of course. The Illini haven't lost a game, I'm plannin on riding that streak until it ends with me crying.

I'm taking a vacation the last half of March, I probably won't be aware of much else besides the stores of Fritos, chili, and beer...

I'm not celebrating Easter until the second Sunday of April, dammit. It's an April holiday. March is all about my birthday.

Meh. We have a Labour Day long weekend this week and Easter in a few weeks. Usually in April we have Easter then a few weeks later Anzac Day public holiday. It really doesn't matter where it falls for me.

 I tried adding green dye to Guinness, but you couldn't tell outside of the head. If you can see the color change in your beer, you aren't celebrating properly.

 Headlines read: "Et tu, Cheney?" as Social Security debates get bloody.

 If Jesus leaves the tomb on Sunday and sees his shadow, do we two more weeks of Spring?

 I've watched about as much baketball this year as I have hockey.

 At this point I could use more two-day weekends.

 I hope everyone is pronouncing Celtic with a K sound. It hurts my ears when people say it wrong. Commitments all the way.

 I'm 120 proof Irish at least, so saying you're Irish won't prove it. Get drunk and have trouble finding work, and maybe I'll believe you.

Found this little bit of info from "The Capitol Scot"

1. Which do you prefer: Green vegetables, Mr. Green Jeans or Green beer and why?
Green vegetables. I just always remember from my bar working days that green beer was the stuff that got too hot in the back and would normally have been thrown out.

2. What will you be wary of during the Ides of March?
Men with committment issues, even when the girl isn't asking for committment.
Corporate mergers.

3. Easter in March: Like or Dislike – what say you?
Well, since I will be spending Easter this year with FanGirl and Karma I guess I would say like. However, I didn't know it was Easter until after I booked my flight!

4. Do you plan on entering a March Madness pool? If so, who do you think will win?
Illinois. Because I am required to say that.

5. Do you think that there should be an international law that every month should include at least one three-day weekend?
Yes. Americans are already overworked, which therefore leaves us too stressed to really be 100% effective in the time we have in the office. Therefore giving us the three day weekend would make us MORE productive and not less. Yes? Good arguement? High-five...

6. What would be your pick for this month’s holiday movie – “Celtic Pride”, “The Commitments”, “Leprechaun” or “Behind the Green Door”?
Behind the Green Door. In honor of the fact that every Irish guy I have ever dated liked porn more than most. Sigh, I love the Irish.

Green Beer always tasted too skunky for me and I've never really enjoyed Green Vegetables so I'm down with Senor Pantalones de Verde.

To me, it just seems weird that Easter in March is a possibility. If you don't count Passover, an April without an Easter becomes a month without a holiday (just like August - unless you count my birthday. But that's a different thread.)

But, of course. In keeping with the Green theme, I'm picking the Spartans of Michigan State. Go GREEN!

Were you trying to get him to commit to not committing ? See. That, in itself is a commitment. Perhaps we should take this up with the committee?

Know this thread has moved on somewhat - but am going to take it on back. What better pastime for a newbie like me to talk about themselves. So here goes:

I need to move to the States. In the UK green beer is but a far off dream. Green vegetables, then, but just because as it's the only choice

Superstition is for the uneducated. So I'll be wary. Very wary. Mainly of being caught surfing the net when I'm supposed to be working

It's always supposed to be with the K sound, based on the Celts of Ireland, and considering it's a Boston team, we can figure they intended it to be the [K]eltics. Unfortunately, too many people mispronounced it over the years, and it has been taken for granted. It's the same as "ain't" getting accepted in the dictionary. Massive ignorance gets accepted by the masses. I refuse to use the word with the S sound, and when I refer to the team I am happy to explain "why I'm saying it funny."
