If you get TBS, check out the episode of Yes, Dear on Tuesday the 22nd, 4pm EST/3pm CST. It's syndicated and I'm sure everyone has seen it before, but it's still pretty funny. Kevin Smith playing... Kevin Smith. Oh, and Silent Bob makes an appearance in the last segment. Actually the last segment is all Silent Bob. I would share this over at the Askewniverse but I get a little intimidated going over there.

On Saturdays, I get up and drive to an exercise class that's from 8-9a. I finally found the best workout program for me. It takes my geekiness and uses it to make me have a fun workout.

Close. Here's the description of it: Batman Training. (http://losangeles.craigslist.org/cls/59700879.html)

It's broken into stretching, an ab workout from hell and the cardio workout which from the rooftop workouts. In a few months, we'll actually be doing the class on the rooftops. It running, rolling, dodging and in the next few weeks we're adding boomarangs. It's so much fun. At it's most advanced and I stick with this for a few years, i'll be like those people you see jumping from building to building and climbing walls without any harnesses.

I've lost 11 pounds and an inch off all my measurements in the last 3 weeks. I wake up sore, but wanting to go again.

Holy carb counting Batman!! That is by far the coolest idea for a workout I've ever heard of. Of course, I'd probably go into an X-men workout program and claim my goals are fashioned after The Blob.

So, I just got back from class. We set our goals for June 17th. I made the goal of dropping 2 sizes. So after we made our goals he told us that whoever reaches their goal and/or surpasses it will receive 2 roundtrip tickets and a 4 day/ 3night stay in Hawaii. How's that for motivation? In the event of a tie, there will be a run off. I so want to be both 2 sizes smaller and go to hawaii. I shall keep you updated.

They did a write up in the LA Times last Thursday about the guy who teaches the class and the pic they used is of me working out with him. It's a nice action shot. The article is online, but the pic isn't.

Also, to date, I've lost 19 pounds and 2.5 inches off all my measurements. Woo Freaking Hoo! I think I'll be dropping a size sometime next week. Aloha!

We interrupt your posting to bring you this....

So, the new diet is working. How do I know you ask. Well, I dropped an inch and a half of two of my measurements in one week. I've lost 4.5" off my bust, 4" off waist and just under 3" off my hips. Woo hoo. I measured like four times before I believed it and I have officially dropped a size and I've only really been doing this for 6 weeks. Encouraged and estatic do not being to describe my happiness right now.

Who whould have thought eating better and exercising regularly would work? And now back to your regularly scheduled posting.

FanGirl

And the updates just keep on coming...

My total weight loss is now 28 pounds. I've lost 7” off my bust, 8.5” of my waist and 7.5” off my hips. I just dropped another size. I went through my closet and got rid of a whole bag of clothes that are too large. I also found pants I can fit into again. So I'm 2 pounds shy of what I say I am on my driver's license!!! and the weight I was when I moved out here.

This is after 3 months of this workout regime and diet. I also just added swimming three times a week. I'm a little tired, but mostly from jumping up in down in my new jeans. Woo freaking hoo. Hawaii here I come!

I never say this but... I'm with Razorback! Diets where inches are lost off bustlines are no good! (Unless it's guys's man-boobs we're talking about)

Congrats on all the other progress but... you know, think of us lecherous guys before you drop more from that region.

I do, however, think the Batman Workout is one of the greatest things I've heard of. Have you sharpened your boomerang into the shape of little razor-winged bats yet? You need to practive holding them between each finger, too.

I also imagine, when the class is over, the instructor turns around to tell the class they can only to find that they've all already managed to disappear without him knowing it...

The custom made batarangs will be in soon. We have been shooting bows and arrows. I've gotten better. I can hit near the target now.

He keeps telling us that eventually we're going to have to do the obstacle course silently. He also says we'll be doing the splits in 2 weeks. Yea, right is what I say to that. I mean I do have more flexibility, but I have never been able to do the splits.

I hear ya, Matt- I know I'm overweight, but I haven't reached that critical point where I CARE that I'm overweight- besides, I feel pretty healthy, although I'm carrying around at least 50 extra pounds. I don't eat constantly, or out of boredom, I'm just undisciplined- when I'm hungry, I eat what I'm in the mood for, be it a steak, some sushi, some Taco Bell, or a salad.

It's not often a salad.

Well, I'm waiting to hear about Hawaii. I should know soon. Woo hoo! I've lost a total of 35 pounds now. I hit a bit of a plateau for 2 weeks. I'm 15 pounds shy of what I was freshman year of high school which means I will be able to fit back into my candy striper uniform. I burned my school uniform. Sorry guys.

As far as training goes, I have found my weapon of choice. Bow and arrow. When we were just aiming for places on the wall it was lame. Now that I have moving human targets it is so much more fun. The arrows have eraser tips. They'll bruise and that's about it. We're going to start working out with 40 pound sack of rice on our back. The rice moves with you and it's hella cheaper than a weigh vest.I love my class. I wish you could all take it. It's just such a blast.

The triathlon is 3 months away. I'm going to start raising money for it soon. I'm going to ask Ryall if it's cool I post the link.
