Hi.
I'd really like to make a movie!
But sadly, I really don't know where to start.
I'm thinking of doing a POWERS adaptation, since it's the only idea I'm really passionate about, but I dont know what the legalities of it are. Like, if I'm doing it and not attempting to make money with it, is it legal? Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on where to start making a flick, or what I should be prepared for, or if you have a script that needs a director, or what.
Thanks all...

Sorry this advice is so late in coming, but I have said before I'm slow at replies. I am an author and I can tell you that the first mistake you are making is worrying about what to do with the piece when it's done, before it's done. I did that same crap for years before I finally just said screw it and finished my first book. Write it, figure out the details after. At the very least you will have gotten the first major work of your career on paper and I have found it gets easier and easier to do the more stories I write. I think a Kevin quote is in order; "Just sit down and write, without over thinking." That's really all there is to it. When you're done talk to a copywrite lawyer. When your done.
