I saw the first published stills today and cannot put into words how good this looks. I did some digging on the net and AICN has three of them, but I refuse to link AICN here.

I got to sit in on the hype-driving panel yesterday and ask questions of Tommy Pillato and Lance Myers. Unfortunately things are taking longer than previously imagined and I'm pretty sure it's Karmas fault. They are now hoping for a March release.

They finished the live-action shooting in 5 weeks and have over 50 roto-scopic animators working round the clock. On an hour and forty minutes worth of footage. The animation style was in their words " The only way to do justice to the 'scramble-suit' and the drug-induced hallucinations."

All actors worked for scale which is pretty amazing, when you consider the amount of talent harvested for this venture and even with Keanu Reeves, Woody Harrelson, Winona Ryder, And Robert Downey Jr. . Judging by the clips I saw yesterday, it looks like Rory Cochrane will be most guilty of scene stealing.

The team is devoted to a literal interpretation of Dicks original story. The book purists should be happy, a few print to screen edits aside.

I, for one, am looking forward to it.
