- Kevin Spacey
- Ray Liotta
- John Cusack
- De Niro
- Bruce Campbell, not so much for his acting, he normally just has bit parts as a B-actor, but he's an awesome guy. Met him, read his book, seen most of his movies, he's just a cool guy all in all. And he was BORN to play Ash /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif

I try not to associate with the actor... just the part that actor plays.
Some of my favorite performances have been by Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp, Ewan McGregor, Daniel Day-Lewis, Emily Watson... oh it goes on and on I might as well just go with those. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

<I try not to associate with the actor... just the part that actor plays.> Dude, who are you? James Lipton?
JUST KIDDING, oh master of the poopshoot post. Don't hurt me.
Good call on Leo and Daniel Day-Lewis. Leo was awesome in The Beach, This Boy's Life, and What's Eating Gilbert Grape. As far as Daniel Day-Lewis goes...once in a while I watch a movie that makes me want to be the lead character and I find myself leaving the theater acting a little bit like them. For instance, Chow Yun-Fat in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones, Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon [no, I'm not kidding], Campbell Scott in Singles, and finally Daniel Day-Lewis in Last of the Mohicans.

Wingman : HOOO HOOO HOOO, Breathe Damn you ! BREATHE !
Old Thread : ....................................
Wingman : Breathe ! you can't give up. I said Breathe !HOOO HOOO HOOO
Old Thread : ................ twitch ......cough cough.
Whew ! that was close.
I can't belive no one said :
1) Gary Oldman . This guy can play anything and make you believe it. From prissy english royalty to Sid Vicious to a Detroit street pimp, and no one mentions him ?
2) Edward Norton . Can go from a doe eyed catholic school boy to a vicious killer in the blink of an eye. He was mentioned, at least .
3)Denzel Washington . From a run away slave joining the Union army to a crooked streetwise narc this guy is always so damned entertaining I'll watch movies I have no interest in just for his performance.
4) Liv Tyler. Oh so easy on the eyes and " LotR " would not be what it is without her, Few can carry that Elven grace the way she does .And I wouldn't be half as excited about " Jersey Girl " if not for her.
5) John Cusack. From a bumbling, suicidal teenager to a grumpy , self centered, vinyl shill, to a psychotic mass murderer with multiple personality disorder.
Beat that .
Before anyone informs me that all these actors have stinkers in their closets. Who doesn't ?
And while I agree with alot of you that Kevin Spacey is a Fine actor I've never been able to forgive him for cutting off Gwenneth Paltrows' head.
And please don't hate me for reviving this thread.

I really don't agree with Wingman, that much....only with what he said about Edward Norton. I realy can't stand Liv Tyler, she looks like a horse in LotR and I think the movie would have been wonderful without her, just as the books were wonderful without Arwen....Any of you who have seen the movie and haven't read the books, Arwen was only mentioned about once if even that in the books. ANYWAY!!!
1) Johnny Depp: He's got to be the most versatile actor around. Just take a look at the movies he's been in.
2) Russell Crowe: A lot of people don't like him, but I believe that he is an amazing actor. He kicked ass in Gladiator. He was amazing in A Beautiful Mind. I have yet to see Master and Commander but I've known about it, and have been waiting for it, for over a year, and it looks so wonderful.
3) Edward Norton: AAAA.....mazing. That's all I have to say. Well, I guess I lied. In my opinion one of the only actors I've seen that could give Johnny Depp a run for his money in versatility....Depp would still win though.
4) Billy Boyd: I don't know WHY, but I just LOVE him. He's so great in LotR as Pippin. I couldn't imagine anyone else in that role. And then there's his accent..... I love Scottish folk.
5) Sean Connery: This is just given. He's Sean Connery...who doesn't love him? And once again.....SCOTTISH! I love their accents so much. He's an amazing actor. I've only seen him in one bad movie, although I'm sure that he's been in quite a few bad ones....in fact he's been in every movie ever made. I make note to point him out...hahaha. He's an extra a lot of the time.
There are many other good ones too that are not on my top 5, but I also like Jake Gyllenhaal(Donnie Darko is one of my favorite movies), Al Pacino(loved Scarface) Robert De Niro(not a huge fan but he was great in The Untouchables) and Andy Garcia(same as De Niro).
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
