Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne!
For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o’ kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
And surely ye'1l be your pint stowp!
And surely I'll be mine!
And we'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
For auld, &c.
We twa hae run about the braes,
And pou'd the gowans fine;
But we've wander'd mony a weary fit
Sin' auld lang syne.
For auld, &c.
We twa hae paidl'd in the burn,
Frae morning sun till dine;
But seas between us braid hae roar'd
Sin' auld lang syne.
For auld, &c.
And there's a hand, my trusty fere!
And gie's a hand o' thine!
And we'll tak' a right gude-willie waught,
For auld lang syne.
For auld, &c.

A happy new year to all at the MPS board!!!!! Here's to a new year, new beginnings and old memories long forgotten. How did you do the countdown? With family? Ffriends? Or sitting home alone toasting to that someone you wish were right beside you? Eiither way, I hope 2005 will bring better days and much joy.

I'm at work, 700 miles away from the love of my life, so please excuse my lack of enthusiasm.
No, really, Happy New Year to everyone.

Robert Burns rules! Hooray for the Scottish!! Happy frickin' New Year!
My party last night was pretty good. Had about 20 people packed into my basement through the course of the night, 17 at one time. It was a pretty good party. Watched a few movies, just hung out, ate food, drank SODA and joked around.
I never knew I had so many friends, and there were people that didn't show up. My school is filled with strange people....

Happy New Year everyone!
Not a good start so far. While taking the boy to work, we got into a fight, so I'm here alone at home getting ready to watch 'Garden State' and cry.
Oh, FanGirl, I went to Barnes and Nobles today and saw a 'Nuns on the Run' calendar and thought of you. It is freaking sweet.

Yea, I bought that calendar for the nuns for Christmas. To clarify to others my step-dad works at a Catholic retreat house with (as I call them) a six pack of nuns.

How did you do the countdown?
[/ QUOTE ] We went out with two other couples and blew a ton of money on fondue. How the hell could melted cheese cost $500 for six people? After that, we were all too full to get drunk. Had two beers and a glass of champagne. After the countdown we played Cranium. One of the least eventful New Years that I can remember...but still good. I must be getting old.

That's alright; my cousin TiVo'd the ball-drop. Fuck the man!
I brought in the new year by washing down a black olive on a snack cracker with a plastic cup of Asti. Immediately afterward -- I'm not certain, but I feel confident in saying it -- I think someone farted in my pants.

Oh God, not me. I'm looking forward to a better year, with less political fighting, a winning football team and a trip to the sweet sixteen.

We had a great New Years. The boyfriend-unit and I planned a big group of our friends to do PF Changs for dinner and then a local piano bar (Pat O'Brians type place) after until about 2 am. We all got hotel rooms and partied after the bars until practically dawn.
It was a total blast and hands-down the best new years I have ever had!
Happy 2005 everybody! /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

Another year, no flying cars! Damnit, I want my flying car already!
It has to fold up into a briefcase as well. But then parking lot stripers would be out of a job... Nevermind.
