Matt1 thinks this is a good idea for a thread so lets go with it! Who do you think is overappreciated (as opposed to underappreciated)? Can be movies/music/tv/anything related.

I think the movie Godfather is overappreciated. There I said it. I thought it was boring.

I think
Equilibrium was
So was Pulp Fiction (Jackie Brown was much better)
Same with Hero
I also think Scarface is as well.
Dont get me started on Beer. It tastes like piss.
Also I think Canada is.
And dont forget Spelling.

Yeah I agree with you on Beer.

I also think Paris is WAY overappreciated. (Both the city and the publicity whore).

If I owned a zoo, and tamed all the animals in the zoo, I could be Steve Irwin.

I thought Shrek was horribly overappreciated, and don't get me started on the sequel...a bunch of cheap pop culture jokes masquerading as a movie

Coldplay too, Chris Martin is a [censored], proven by the fact that he called his child 'Apple'. Idiot.

Jay Leno. He still somehow wins the ratings everynight, when it only takes a minute to see that Letterman and Conan do the same job 10 times better.

U2
Coldplay
Robin Williams
Chris Rock
Biggie Smalls
Puff Daddy...P. Diddy...whatever

Toby Kieth. Fuck, I am in the military and even I get so friggin' tired of all of the alleged patriotism in his videos. My God, try taking advantage of something else to make a buck for a change.

All of those other friggin' singers who come out with songs that take advantage of a crisis by working on people's emotions, so they can make a buck.

Canada
France
The United Nations
Morals
Sanity (We all need to go crazy every once in a while.)
Marriage (Let's all just live in sin.)
Religion

[/ QUOTE ] I didn't realize he was appreciated at all. Even my grandparents see through him, so I figure there's hope for everyone else.

And on topic, Cameron Crowe is overappreciated.

The Eagles. The Eagles. The [censored] Eagles.

Shitty, shitty Don Henley. Totally bloodless. Exemplifies all I hate about Baby Boomers. Awful lyrics. I hate them.

They suck.

Ozchick's delusional mentality... that allows her to believe that when someone is far superior to her, in every way, that she has to try to knock them down a peg as a way to make herself feel better about her inadequacies (ones that everyone can plainly sees but only talk about when she is not around; then they giggle like hyenas). /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Also, as an honorable mention, Internet comebacks written by mental midgets (usually in response to my genius). /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Coffee, in all of its forms, but most especially that fruity latte and -chino stuff.

Starbucks. You have to make 6 different decisions just to get one cup of coffee.

People who religiously collect Starbucks mugs from different cities, especially when they drag me in with them to do so, thus ruining my perfect streak of never going into one.

Sorry Ozzie, we were goin' for things that're "overappreciated "

The Olsen twins .
Jessica Simpson .
Paris Hilton.

Tom Hanks.
Brittney-effin-Spears.
Television. ( especially reality TV and "E" )
Bill Parcells.

I also think that those damn bags of peanuts you purchase on plains.. I swear you'd need Scissors to cut through that plastic. But Scissors aren't allowed on plains.. Blasphemy.. Then after fighting your way through the package... half going all over the place.. Causing a mini-riot.. You're soon to be disappointed when they don't even taste good.. and all's you're left to say is "Damn hippies"

TomHarrington
12-02-2004, 09:51 AM
Sometimes you have to choose between plain and peanut.

ZyronDrazil
12-02-2004, 09:54 AM
Yea.. And thats where the real trouble begins.. The dreadful choice.. that You're always tempted to make the wrong one, because of that slight possibility of not being disappointed. But shamelessly, those dreams never come true.. so which is better? Plain or peanut? or should this be in another thread already?
