I never thought I'd be soliciting help from a place called "the poop shoot", but I also don't want to come off as some schlub who tries to email a script to Kevin Smith every other week. This seems like a non-threatening way of asking for some advice...
I'm looking for advice on making a pitch to a network- I'm not looking for a contact or a foot in the door- I already have that. I've also got the concept, somewhat of a budget, and a really good idea of how I want production run as far as shooting style, graphics, etc. What I don't have is any idea as to what to expect when I walk in the door and make the actual pitch. I don't want to be walking in there with my d*ck in my hand and only half a clue. What kind of information do I need to have already, do I need to set up production and post on my own, product sponsorships, copyrights, etc, etc.
I would ask around at work, but I'm really trying to keep this quiet for now. Like I said, I don't want to be walking in anywhere with only half a clue. I'd like to give at least somewhat of an impression that I know what I'm doing. And I don't want to be screwed over and wind up turning on the TV some evening, watching my show being done by someone else...
Any help would be hot.
