I ran across this just a few minutes ago. Anyone else read about this one yet?

This piece is a little more in-depth:

Looks nice, although I'm kind of pissed... I don't want to shell out more cash for these things. Although, it does have some really nice features... /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

I have abandoned the PS2 (since I broke it) in favor of the XBOX and Game Cube. Plus, this thing sounds like it is going to be expensive and why wouldn't I just buy a good DVD burner instead?

Yep- Son'y half-assed attempt to make the PS2 seem as powerful as the XBOX....but it won't be out over here for a while....maybe Christmas '03?

Damn government computers won't let me go to game sites. What does it say?

It's basically a rejiggered PS2 -- a PS2 that's also a digital music player, DVD player/DVD burner and has a hard drive able to store up to 60 hours of television. Also has a memory stick built in, so no need for a card anymore. Supposed to retail for around $400.

I don't like the XBOX that much. The controller is to bulkey. I just stick with Nintendo.
