It was only a matter of time.

Here (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1928540) is what was done about it. Fair?
It seems that they are just trying to make an example out of them. Whether it's fair or not, well let me put it this way. If I got into a fight with a client, a co-worker, or even a visitor at my job, I'm almost positive I would get fired. Obviously basketball has different rules and is more lenient on this issue. /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif

Ben Wallace gets 6 games for a shove? That's harsh. It's just a way to please Indiana. People are taking it so seriously, but it just seems hilarious to me. Artest is a clown.
I agree that Ben Wallace got a little too much, but i think the rest was right on. At least now, Artest can pimp his CD like he wanted to do. There is no excuse for going into the stands.
There was also a fight at the Clemson/So. Carolina game this weekend that is being blamed on the Pacers thing. That's just not the way that Lou Holtz needed to go out.

Great, they're bringing armed guards into our facilities now. Instead of fist fights, there'll be bloodshed. Wonderful, Great. People [censored] suck.

“The world cannot stand by as rappers stab each other and professional basketball players attack fans,” said U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan. “It is imperative that the U.N. get this situation under control with these rappers. They could easily attack other ‘soft targets’ such as the Video Music Awards and the Grammys.”
ONE guy, the guy who punched Dr. Dre, was [censored] stabbed, by some rich guy. Thats the first time this shit has ever happened.
Then a fight breaks out in the stands. This shit happens every fuckin year.. The real solution would be to minimize the alcohol consumption.. so now people'll be shot instead of thrown in jail.
None of this alarms any of you? It's never a good thing when the government starts bringing the military units into our territory. Pretty soon they'lll have us all at gun point, or at least within the distance, placed in our shopping centers, and everywhere else, because of censorship. Which also means that anyone opposing them will probably be shot. It happened in Kent 20 years ago, what makes you think it wont happen again.

Even more shit to piss me off.. Sorry this'll be my last post on this topic..
"I’ve got tickets to the Knicks-Pacers game next month,” said Judy Franconela of New York City. “I’m taking my two kids, and I want to make sure that an NBA player doesn’t punch me in the throat.”
I've been to many, hockey, football, baseball, and basketball games in my life. I've never felt threatened, or felt unsafe there. Except for being onguard for thugs and shit, parkinglots and crap, I've never felt unsafe at a game.
The only reason the fight broke out was because the "fan"was drunk, he through his beer all over the guy, which would be assault. But the NBA player is going to take the heat, because its easy to blame the rich man, who has a 'name' and so now they're letting FOREIGN [censored] into our country. So we are dealing with people who go under a different code of laws than we do. WE're letting them into our country, how [censored] stupid can Bush [censored] be?
WE kicked them out of our country in 1812, and now we're letting them back in?
“This is the United States of America! We don’t need any of these damn foreign troops sticking their nose in our business,” said Tom Lotton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
That guy's a [censored] genius.
Why are we leting another country solve our problems? Aren't we suposed to be the most powerful country in the world? And we are letting it dumb down because Bush is [censored] it up? Can't any of you see how badly he is ruining america? Ruining our economy, he's wasting hundreds of millions of dollars on this "SDI" bullshit, which will NEVER work. It's like shooting a bullet with a bullet. But the thing doesn't even [censored] work.

I don't think he understands sarcasm or satire. He doesn't get it when we do it. Why would he get it when anyone else does? He probably thinks the Onion and the New York Post are real papers too. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

Well, he hit the wrong [censored] guy!!! The guy Artest grabbed and started hitting didn't even throw the beer at him. It was the guy in the blue shirt standing next to him.
You can make the argument that Artest was provoked but he was way out of line and he'll more than likely go to jail for it. Because maybe throwing beer on someone is assault but you can't go hit the guy standing next to him.
NBA Players are paid a lot of money to be the bigger people. Artest Makes like 20 million a year. Someone can throw beer in my face every day for 20 million a year.I'm not saying the fan who threw the beer was right, but Artest is paid not to act the way he did. The fan can at least say he was drunk, all artest can say is that he's an [censored]. Thats why I feel he should have been suspended for this year and next. He'll learn, or he won't play in the NBA.

<font color="purple">Considering a fight has broken out at the Vibe Awards each year, I think that they need some extra security.
Plus, if you got your information correctly, you would know that the guy who punched Dre was one of Shug Knight's minions and the rapper who stabbed the guy who punched Dre is named Young Buck. He is part of 50 Cent's G-Unit.

This travel ban is unwarranted,” said Brown’s lawyer Scott Leemon. “Mr. Brown is nominated for the Best Rapper Stabbing or Shooting of 2004 in the upcoming awards show in Miami. He worked hard during that stabbing, and for him not to be able to travel to pick up a potential award is simply unfair.”
The whole thing is funny but that made me spit coffee all over my desk. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
