View Full Version : Does anyone live in/near a large Irish community
The reason i ask is because i would like to get my wife a case of some soda she fell in love with while we were in Ireland for our honeymoon. I figure it should be available in a city with a large Irish population. So if you do, I would appreciate your help in my suprising her for Jesus's Birthday.
the Soda is Club Orange and Rock Shandy.

Irish soda? WTF? I didn't know there were beverages available without alcohol in Ireland. /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif
I think it's specially formulated to clear away the Guiness cobwebs.

can't get that here, but damn it's almst 1:00 I'm boing and I want to drink my monitor, damn you.
I looked at that, but they wanted over $150 bucks to ship 2 cases. I think that's a little steep, so i was looking to pay someone on here to go to the store get some and ship it by Slow UPS or something.
There's a couple of places around here I know of, that might sell it. Next time I'm there I'll check for you. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
Irish Stuff Store (http://www.mollymalonesirishgifts.com/other_gift_items.htm)
They sell some food, but are only open from May-October, They have a toll-free number you can try at the bottom of the page.
Thanks for the link, i'm going to call them now.
Well, i got an answering machine. We shall see if they will call me back.
I hope they can help. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Is anyone else reminded of that SNL bit, "All Things Scottish?"

I found some soda on Ebay called club orange but its made in Canada and the cans looked to be from the 1940's.
I don't believe i want any rancid orange soda. That would just be gross.
The real stuff is very good though, it's a lot tarter than Minute Maid or Fanta. (and it has "real orange bits")

heh
my girl's canadian and she loved the stuff too
Theres probably some way of shipping a sick pack or something over to you if you get desperate
or a 2 litre bottle
what is it with ladies and that stuff? I'm hoping that i don't have to have it shipped overseas. But i'll call on you if i do.

I hope you read that post and heard me making the accent. I really did it out loud first, of course. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
