View Full Version : So what's it gonna be...
The Star Wars and political threads seem to be gone, just wondering what's next?
Has anyone seen the movie Elf? I was thinking of renting it after work tonight. Is it good? Should I just skip the renting process and just buy it?
Also has anyone tried Bubblemint flavored gum by Orbit? I'm not sure if I like it. It has a PeptoBismol flavor to it.
I have neither seen nor tried those two things. However i am enjoying some Extra Polar Ice flavor gum. Yummmmm.
I also am digging on this Blistex Spa Effects "Relaxing" Chap-sticky type stuff that my wife bought. Not only does it seem to decrease/heal my chapped lips, i'm all chilled out.
Thanks anyway.
Oooh, I'll have to look for that kind of chapstick. Blistex makes really good chapstick. Always with the cool icey feel. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

Orbit's commercials really make me like their gum. Unfortunately, their gum really makes me dislike their gum. It is too Nutrasweet-y.
I just checked to see what sugar substitute they use in it. It says aspartame. No wonder I don't really like it. Usually anything I've ever tried that has aspartame in it has made me horribly sick.
(Looks at pack of gum, then looks at rest of office)
Anybody want some gum? /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif

My bad, aspartame-y.
Speaking of sugar substitutes, does it bother anybody that they are coming out with all these products that loudly and largely brag about having 50% less calories and 50% less sugar, and then mention Splenda very small-like?
What is really bothering me is that restaurants have begun to serve Minute Maid Lite Lemonade when you order Lemonade. They wouldn't bring me Diet Coke if I ordered a Coke, so why would they bring me a half-Lemonade/half-Diet Lemonade when I order a Lemonade?

Yeah, it's good stuff. It comes in a 3 pack, with different flavors. (http://www.blistex.com/frame%20content/Spa%20Effects.htm)
relaxing, uplifting & Renewing. I don't know what any of that means, but i am digging on the Relaxing one.

Ahh so when you're using the chapstick, you can tell everyone that you're chillin.
jj- I don't really know all that much about Splenda, only that's it's a sugar substitute. The whole lemonade thing is wrong. Why does lemonade need to be made lite? The sugar is what makes lemonade taste so good.
Dave- Thanks for the photo. Now I know what to look for when I get out of work.
Well i don't know the mechanics of it, but Somehow, Splenda is made from Sugar. The wonders of Science.
What is up with this "C-2" Coke? why make a half diet coke? Who's sitting on the fence between a regular and Diet coke? Ah well this will all go the way of Zeltser Seltzer, Crystal Pepsi, Iced Beers and liquid filled gum.
C2? I've never heard of it. Though it doesn't surprise me. I'm not much of a soda drinker. Unless it's birch beer. As long as they don't change the birch beer I'm fine.

C2 is when I officially went nuts and told everyone who counts carbs that they're stupid. Although, this summer I had a free supply of Pepsi Edge and it wasn't that bad. It doesn't scream "guess what I replaced the sugar with?" like most diet stuff does.
