and in the name of all that is holy, please, folks, just stop responding to any of "the dickhead that will go unnamed" 's posts. Different names, same chump. Ignore it, and it will go away. Please, please, make this the last thread. FanGirl started a petition in another thread, but I'm making an official "I'm a reg, and I'm pissed" thread. I don't want to wade through any more lengthy woe-is-me-teen-angst posts from said boob.
If you are on board, if you will make a stand, stand, Poop Shooters--stand with me!
Boob is such a funny word. I'd give you points for that one if I was a regular and it mattered. As I told FanGirl, sounds like a good plan to me.
I vote 'Aye' (or is it just 'I')

It has been said previously, but you guys are way to riled up about this situation. Was China a good poster? Was Zyron a bad poster? I would say neither is the right answer. Did he piss some people off? Sure, but who doesn't. RB seems to piss MW off everyday, and vise versa. It was/is still stupid of him to pretend to be somebody else, and then deny, deny, deny, but I think that if I were banned from here, I would try my damndest to get back here. We have a good group here, and I think he just wants to be cool by association...is that such a bad thing. My point is if he posts something that pisses you off, let him know. If you are pissed off at his posts because you don't like him, then you are getting too mad at anonymous people. And, of course if he says something that you find profound (while not likely, certainly possible) or funny (even less likely) respond with profundity or humor in kind.

JJ, I'm not actually upset. I am tired of every thread being hijacked by this guy and whether or not he is someone.
And following your logic, well, we should be more understanding of all the newbs coming in and being retarded. You gotta draw the line--even Ryall made the situation plain.
Regardless of how we feel, I'll be happy if this is the last thread about the topic, and his identity becomes a non-issue. That will only happen when s/he stops messing around and registering new names and talking smack.
I understand your point. Though I have to mention I do get irritated when I'm reading through a thread and have to finagle through all the crap that CT (and all the other names the boob has choosen to go by) has written. I don't mind it once in a while, yah, it can be funny, but for the most part it is irritating because I only have limited time to access the internet and barely have enough time to read all of the interesting stuff I've missed and then enough time to post anything with more than one line. It just boils down to, I'm a poor and slow reader with no internet access at home and would rather spend the time reading and replying to the interesting things the better people on this board have to say. Sorry I don't totally agree with you, but I hope you see my point too.

I think that we all, myself included, are too harsh on the newbs. I don't know about you, but I am happy when there are a lot of new posts to read. I certainly prefer when they are from somebody that I know, then I can know what level of intelligence/humor to expect. However, I think it would be great if our community would expand. It can't/won't/can't happen if we are so immediately harsh. Look at Rico: His first post (http://www.moviepoopshoot.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=offtopic&Number=75509&Foru m=All_Forums&Words=rico&Match=Username&Searchpage= 1&Limit=25&Old=allposts&Main=74680&Search=true#Pos t75509) was at least well reasoned/legible/lacking in "ball-lickers" quotes, and Matthew jumped right on him. I'm not trying to single out Matthew, Rico just makes a good example. A guy with a legit opinion who has turned out to be an ok guy. I don't know where I'm going with this, aside from saying we just all need to relax a wee bit.

I get you, buddy. And, I think there's merit to what you say. In the case of CT though, I'd say it's excessive, and s/he's said that s/he was trying to provoke people. That is what really got me going from the start, and, like TLS said, having to wade through all the crap. I have a cable connection at work, but when I wanna get on at home, on my feeble dial-up that all-too-often just cuts out, it's much less fun/entertaining.
Maybe we shouldn't use the gauntlet style of initiation here--it's not as though there aren't enough Jay and Bob posts for everyone to get a shot in often enough. I'll concede to you on that, and I don't even advocate banning this particular clown shoe--that's why I recommended a nonviolent resistance approach, of just ignoring him/her.
It's kinda like when your little sister keeps repeating everything you say, just to upset you. How do you get back at her? You could throw a "How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood" line at her, OR, even better, just stop talking. And I advocate that for all of these retard newbs. Every time someone replies, the thread goes right back up to the top of the page, and I have to hit (2) and wait, and wait, and wait for the next page of threads to load, because a lot of interesting stuff has been knocked off the front page.
If we just ignore people, their threads disappear sooner, and we have much less confusion/angst. Would you agree on that point?
It might sound anal, but I talked to Ryall about this, and the poor guy is swamped. If we want this place to be fun, it's good to have the coolest way to quiet the troll newbs and welcome the promising ones.

My tolerance level for newbies is pretty high. We've gotten more than a few good one recently, but the bad ones just stand out. Rico plays along and is welcome. CT didn't ended up getting into a huff with the slightest joke. Even his alter ego was playing along at first, but then he just started weighing down the posts. I had no problems with him pretending to be someone else as long as he was fun. Oh well, I am just going to skip over his posts. It is my birthday and I'm not going to spend my time wasting it on his crappy posts.

So, the only real reason that you want me gone is because I respond to the threads that I feel I want to respond to? Isn't that why we are here? To respond to other peoples threads? I'm not alone in the world, and I will admit half the shit I've done/said has been abruptly stupid, but If your going to start singling people out for responding to threads, you should start with everybody else, including Fangirl, and yourself even, because you respond to more threads than I have. Look at how many posts you've made compared to mine.
And, if you realy are tired of me being here, why are you making another thread about me? Why have I created such a stir amongst your lives? Did I seriously come into one of your houses and wreck up the place late at night or something? Did you find some criminal records, that don't existed, about my past or something? If your sick of me bein around, why are you making a thread about me.
And if you weren't expecting me to respond, you're down right nutty. Anyway thanks JJ for your logical statements. At least someone here is making sense. It sure as hell isn't me.

Happy Birthday Fangirl. Yeay!
Here's my thoughts regarding the multiple personality situation in case anyone cares.
There is no reasonable excuse for consistently being an ass and CT has admitted to being an ass on a number of occasions. People get banned for this because, odds are, they are going to regress back into assholedome sooner or later when someone flames them.
Maybe people did pile on you CT. Maybe you just happened to have the wrong initials in your screen name. Either way it doesn't matter to me. I'm not the best person to be giving this advice but I'll lay it out for you or any future newbies to read anyway.
First: Don't post unless you have something to say that someone besides you is going to care about. Going down the list of recent posts and replying to each one just to say something is only going to attract flames.
Second: Make sure your opinion is reasonable, well thought out and well expressed as often as possible. Otherwise people are going to think you are just being an ass unless they know you have a history of pretty good posts in the past, which you don't.
Finally: As I said above, if you are being reasonable and voicing real opinions, don't let those who disagree with you get under your skin. If you are being an ass, then by all means let them chase you off the board.
These are just guidelines that I'm sure I've ignored myself a couple of times. But for the most part they've helped me to enjoy my stay here at the 'shoot.

I cannot tell you guys how much this thread made me smile this morning. It is true that I have been blessed with having some rather crazy/fun real world endeavors with a bunch of you that broke up those long and bummerish business trips. And to think, one of our parties resulted in an engagement! (and started with Karma and I plastering our ears to the bedroom wall trying to figure out what was really going on over there /forums/images/icons/wink.gif ) The lone toothbrush delivered through doors that were promptly slammed shut, right Drew? Goose Island anyone?
Ahh Danger, we had such a nice time. Didn't we? I am not sure I remember? There was this wierd liquor store with nuns, and beer with pretty labels, and a big discussion in the snow about the wrongness of Angel getting cancelled, Stella, trivia, and politics at the Charred Rib. When I think of Balimore I think of the INCREDIBLE hangover I had that morning getting on the plane. The guy next to me said I smelled like peppermint and smoke. Bet that was hot. I may have been in first class, but classy was not something to describe my state. /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif
And there was the sleeping with FanGirl incident, in which she ALLEGES I stole the covers. Of course, the night before Smurf made us sleep on the floor while she (being the smallest of all of us) slept comfortably diagonal across the bed). We did get even though by teasing the crap out of her about a certain other board member that starts with an R. Oh wait...didn't we drunk dial Danger? We did!
By the way RATM...I eat lunch at that Buffalo Wild Wings every wednesday and whenever I see that waiter I totally crack up. It was too bad I had to go back to work that night. I was having too much fun to leave. He could have fed me more Blue Moon and checked 75 times if you wanted Ranch or 1000 Island with your cheese sticks. Seriously, everyone I work with agrees he has not improved one bit in the last three months. He dropped our whole order a couple of weeks ago and then came back and made us re-tell him everything he just dropped instead of read the ticket.
And yep, I slept with Karma. Damn that four feet of lonely space in between those beds. Damn it all to hell! (said in best Charlton Heston voice) /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
So it has thus been established that there are four board members in the Texas area. I think it is about time all of you start coming this direction to visit us, because Ft. Worth is a blast. Either that or I will have to wait until the wedding in March to watch FanGirl's feeble attempt to out beer me. P.S. If you want to know if she cuddles I will tell you for $5.
