They're good. But they aren't that good to be the "best band around." They aren't even close. They're good though. Marylin Manson is better. Has anyone heard "Personal Jesus" yet? That songs great.

Yeah Manson does suck. I love Green Day, just bought the CD today. It rules. Also, I really don't think they're referring to all americans as idiots. Just the ones that let the media rule their life.

Its a catchy song, but with little value. I think the Red-Neck agenda is supposed to be mocking Bush, but come on man you have an aresnal of weapons and your calling an Ivy League Rich World Leader a "Redneck" come on, thats just sad. Call him a money-grubbing pig or something, but Redneck too easy and not very fitting.
It's funny that greenday speaks out against stereotypes yet they seem to fit right into so many of them.
I enjoy some of their old songs for the tunes, not for the "ideas" behind them. Stick to making music, I'll take my doze of political commentary from people who actually know what they're talking about.

I think it's cool that Greenday put a lot of thought into making a rock opera with a politically themed story, but it's a shame that their music sounds about the same as it did almost 10 years ago. That was great back then but nowadays their sound is tired. If they go through with making a feature film of the album, I can't imagine anyone except diehard fans sitting through the whole thing.

I was gonna say I quit listening to them about ten years ago. I heard about thirty seconds of their song while flipping through the TV channels the other night and I have to say it that while it wasn't the worst thing I could have done with thirty seconds, I certainly could have done something better with the time. Like picking my nose or scratching my butt.

I like it a lot. I really don't have any reasons to justify why I like it, but I just like it. I've always loved Green Day.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a little Dookie now and again, but by the time Nimrod came out, it started to sound the same. Maybe if I gave the new album a chance, I might change my opinion, but lately Danzig has been the only thing to fit my mood.
