Where are all the awards for The Wire? It is probably the most realistic cop show ever made with the best writing, acting, dialogue, and story ever told on TV.

That is not hyperbole... the best ever.

I didn't watch the Emmys last night, so i don't know (or really care) who won what, but does it disturb anyone else that HBO, Showtime, USA (add cable channel here) are even up for any of these awards? I feel like the Emmys should only be for "broadcast" stations. Cable channels do have the Ace Awards by the way.

I mostly agree... or create a Pay-TV Emmy.

right, because lets be honest, Pay TV works with a whole different set of rules than Network TV.

Word. It is not a fair playing field.

I thought they disbanded the Ace awards.

They did.

I didn't know that, but then why have them, when Cable stations are now eligible for an Emmy.
Bring back the ACE!
Bring Back the Ace!

The Wire is the only show that makes me sad I don't have HBO anymore. The best cop show ever.

Anyone else disturbed that SNL was even nominated? There's more laughs in an episode of Forensic Files than today's SNL.

but there are more dead people in SNL than on Forensic Files

That's not true, I swear I saw Horatio Sanz open his mouth once! They didn't even have the host of the week help him out!

What was SNL nominated in? and what did it go against.

SNL as in Saturday Night Live? Oh, that was nominated in the "TV show that should have been cancelled at least a decade ago." category

No, Mad TV was in the 'Comedy Series that tried to mimic the Dried up old SNL humor and should have never been made' category.
