What is the deal with this? I dont get why they are trying to repress people so.
I think the whole wearing a head covering is silly in the first place, but hey its a silly world. But I see no harm in letting people go on with there beielfs in a non-disruptive way.

I didn't read the entire article, but it appears that everyone is focussing all of their attention on Muslim/Islamic head scarf, when in all actuality it is all religious head coverings that are banned. Including Jewish head coverings. Where is the outrage about the Jewish kids not being able to wear theirs? Oh wait, Israelis haven't taken hostages to try to force the issue.

I think it has to do with all "religious" items. Not just head carves and skull caps, but also crosses and Star of Davids. Except those that are "discreet", read tiny and worn inside the shirt.

What is the problem with letting people have their religious at school? is it really causing distractions? i don't think so. i think there are certian academics who want to do away with all religions.

American's are just spoiled. In most of the world if you move to a country you have to learn the language and accept the local customs. In the US, if you move here, you don't need to speak English or Spanish, and you can keep whatever custom you want.

Man, the US is so evil.
