It's not in the cinemas in the UK yet, but I managed to see Hell Boy tonight. It rocked! /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif It was the right kind of adventure with a spot of sarcasm and humour. Brilliant! There's got to be a sequel to this. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

Got the DVD Tuesday... already watched it with both commentaries as well as perused the extras. I was a little dissappointed that Abe Sapien didn't get the same background treatment as the other characters. They all kept going on and on about how he was their favorite character, but he got squat in the extras.

Just watched it again last night. It still amazes me that a movie this goddamn weird, based on such an obscure comic book, and starring Ron Perlman in the lead could ever get made at all. Thankfully it did.

I have to agree, the premise is off beat and the movie studio must have been really confident that it would do something good. Also Ron is not a natural first choice for the part - but he's done a bang up job. At least it's not like your normal run-of-the-mill do-good superhero movie, that can only be good if you ask me. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
