I can't wait for Alien Vs. Predator to come out... It's a movie that's years over due... like Freddy Vs. Jason... and that movie turned out very well /forums/images/icons/wink.gif .... all of these movie producers need to quit toying with our emotions and actually make a good movie involving our most beloved characters and not these (no pun intended) crappy movies.

I was wondering how they were going to stage the plot of PvA, but it looks like they might just do it /forums/images/icons/grin.gif The stage sets look outstanding and the guys they have got to play the Predator characters must all be 7 foot giants... they look massive!

Check out this link Alien v's Predator (http://www.avp-movie.com/)

As the man says, I can't wait /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif

Uh... what pun? Strangely enough, I am looking foward to this film. Hopefully it will be the good spectacle movie that this summer has been sorely missing.

No pun intended, but I didn't see a pun either. Did any one else see a pun?

Coincidentally, this movie opens on my birthday.

Let's hope you are not PUN-ished with a bad flick. Bad birthday movies suck, I still haven't forgiven Dung. & Drag.
Yes I picked those abbreviations on purpose. Heavy on the Dung.

I think it's gotta be one of the worst ad campaigns of all time.

" Whoever wins , we lose . "

...And I'm thinkin', Yeah, we'll be out another eight bucks for another poorly written piece of trash, trying to capitolize off of our misspent youth, because fresh ideas don't exist in Hollywood.

I'm keeping my expectations low. The movie might turn out okay. But I don't see the point in getting all hyped up about it.

I mean, F*%# ! What's next ? Superman Vs. Batman ? Cool Hand Luke Vs. Easy Rider ? Who's the Boss Vs. Growing Pains ? Jedi Vs, Terminator ?

I've lost all faith in Hollywood. Good ideas don't come from there, Anymore.

The game was good. Although, I don't want to watch a movie that feels like your watching someone play a video game. I already did that with the last two Matrix movies.

Ouch! One thing good about having a December birthday, is that the movies out are, for the most part, pretty good. I have a tradition of grabbing a pizza and going to the movies on my birthday. Nothing fancy, but so what. So when a stinker lands an my day, it really pisses me off. I can forgive Star Trek Nemisis, for it wasn't that great, but ST:TNG is like sex, so it was still pretty good for me. But that Turd of a D&D movie stung me to the quick. Alas, I had a friend in from out of town and even took him to one of the Big theaters in L.A. with all the bells and whistles, sigh, I want those hours back along with all the bitter, sleepless nights.

Well after looking back over my own post from... whenever I did this, I'd go back and look or figure out some way to read when I wrote that but don't even feel like it... anywho I'm sorry for those of you who thought you were going to get an awesome pun but I have no idea what I was thinking about when I thought something in that sentence was a pun, because most definately there were no puns...

I'm currently trying to decide if it was worse than Doom.

At least compared to AVP, Doom was far more faithful to the game than most other game based movie was.

I thought AVP was based on a comic book. Maybe it was a movie, based on a game, based on a comic book.

Speaking of game based movies, when does Dig Dug the Motion Picture come out?

I think right after they release Metroid, but definately before they start filming Pong:The Movie. (I hear that one is going to be a head-turner.)

Except the BFG firing, which you can see in the preview, I have nothing but complaints about it. I know six-year-olds who could've written a better script. For me, the strength of the game was the supernatural element. ( For those that don't know ) Scientists, trying to develop a transportation device, accidentally open the gates of Hell. (Ooopsie) A single marine left alive on the Mars base has to fight back the onslaught hordes of demon scum.
What could possibly be more fun than that ?

For the movie, it became about genetic experiments gone awry turning people into zombiefied mutations. The action is sparse, the one-liners unfunny, and the characters so dry you hope the muties will make it back to earth and wipe everyone out so we will never have to sit through such a poorly concieved, uninspired, shit-fest ever again.

Unfortuantely for us the good guys win.

Obviously I wasn't expecting anything Oscar caliber, but it could've been fun.

I did like that they didn't make the "hero" the guy you expect.... but even that I saw coming.

The prop guys threw an Alien skull in the trophy room in Predator 2 just for the hell of it and it took off from there- the comics, the books, the games, and then the movie (which still could have been way better...)
