Well looky here, its a new topic started by a member who didnt join because he/she saw Jay and Bob on Comedy Central.
Anyway, whats new? Catwoman sucks (was anyone shocked by this?) Summer is coming to a close for alot of us.
Got back into Comics (agian) just started surfing on Amazon a couple of weeks ago and have been trying to get back into the swing of things. Mostly i've been buying Trade Paper backs, because I am not paying 3 dollars for a 12 page comic (12 pages after all the adds for milk and poptarts are removed)
I've stayed away from Marvels Ultimates, Completed Preacher, Dipped my toes into Sandman, Got the First Book in the Authority Series, Got LXG Vol1 and 2 ( Vol 2 was better) Thinking about buying the Fables TPB, along with Y the Last Man.
Its been about 6 years since I last started getting comics but things have changed. You can find an action figure of what seems to be ANYONE in the DC Universe, Marvel Figures still suck, everythings Spider-Man this or X-Title that.
Jim Lee still draws the same
JLA still kicks ass
Batman cooler than ever
Hal Jordan is coming back ( but what about KYLE!!!)
Got a REAL computer built, with a video card and all those fancy things, only problem is my family got rid of DSL for SBC Dial up! Its like the stone ages! Its been years since I had to wait 3 minutes to connect to the internet. Also that sound dial up makes is still annoying.
Luckly I play Unreal Tournmant and Battlefield at a friends house.
has anyone played the Ballon Pirate Mod for UnReal 04? Its strangley addicting
New Star Wars Title! Too bad I have completely given up on getting exctied for Star Wars until a week before it comes out.
Board has been full of jerks lately, but the poltics have simmered down some which is good. (Bush 04 BABY!)
Who else is sick of the Iraq Beheadings? Its like a bad fad that wont go away. I thought Goverments didnt give in to the demands of Terrorists? I guess some countrys are just pussys.
Went down to Austin last week, and basically here is what I can tell you
Strip Clubs, Mexican Strip Clubs, Bars, Mexican Bars, Movie Theaters, Malls, Shitty road system, Non-sensical Traffic *2 hour delays for no reason!) Also homeless people asking for your money (THe fun thing to say is this "no! You give me a DOLLAR!"
Family guy repeats starting to bug me (Cant wait for the new ones but getting sick of repeats) Futurama still canceled, Simpsons slowly getting better.
Arrested Devolpment one of the best shows around
Bourne 2 was pretty good, Damon still the man
Did anyone check out ther trailer for that Juilanne Moore movie? Its creepy
Saw the Buried secert of M Night Shamlalalalaladon on sci-fi I liked it kinda creepy but clearly staged.
Still work at Pet Store, Bath Dogs for money, lots of fun. been bitten 3 times, scratched 12.
MTV still a wasteland.
