I have until Wednesday morning in DC. My first time here. Other than the obvious, anything anyone can recommend I do here?

Three things:

Spy Museum - Good Stuff
Air & Space Museum @ Dulles (Not technically in DC but the place has a ton of good old planes & one NASA Space Shuttle
Big Planet Comics (3 locations - Vienna VA, Georgetown & Bethesda MD)
[/list]

If you need more, let me know.. /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

I suggest a visit to the National Zoo, followed by a viewing of Spidey 2 at the Uptown, a half-mile up the street. The Uptown was built in the 1930's and features a huge curved screen. Sit towards the back of the theater for best effect. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Ditto on the air and space museum. I haven't been there since I was 7 years old and that's one of two things I remember best.

If you have a favorite magazine, chances are its office is in DC and you can take a tour.

Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. I loved the Natural History museum. I wish I could have seen more of the Smithsonian, and of course the Wall.

I don't remember a lot of what I saw when I was there. It was probably 3 years ago.

Oh yeah. The tomb. That was cool. That whole graveyard was pretty nice.

My advice for anyone in DC is not to drive. Actually, my advice is get out by cover of daylight, wash thoroughly, and immediately seek counselling. I don't like that place very much. About an hour north is a great city, though!

Do not go looking for the wall at night. It is not well lit and my dad almost fell off of the top of it.
