As I told you... (http://www.starwars.com/episode-iii/bts/production/news20040724.html)

That is my favorite Star Wars title to date.

So, what exactly are the Sith getting revenge for do you think? And on whom are they exacting the revenge?

Razorback

Not able to read this week? /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

</font><blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr />
The Sith are masters of the dark side of the Force and the sworn enemies of the Jedi. They were all but exterminated by the Jedi a thousand years ago, but the evil order continued in secrecy. They operated quietly, behind the scenes, acting in pairs - a Master and an Apprentice - patiently biding their time before they could take over the galaxy. In Episode III, they'll finally exact their revenge on the Jedi.

Seems pretty obvious.

Exactly, so how do we know that you don't?

Razorback

I don't work for LFL. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif I do know people who work for the company. I have been very lucky in getting to know some cool people (and I mean that, LUCKY).

Anyway, here is a fan poster someone posted on a Star Wars site that is probably the best fan poster I have ever seen (almost made me think it was the real deal):

There will be tons of fan posters and wallpapers coming out in the next few days. I will post them in this thread. Some of them will probably be even better than this one.

That's a great looking poster, although I can't imagine there being a completed Death Star in Ep. 3. That would mean it would be sitting around for almost 20 years before its first 'test'.

It won't be used because (as I stated at the beginning of this thread) it is a FAN created poster. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

* Ehem * Yes, thank you. I do read . /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif

You can tell that shot of Vader is from ESB (cloud city) by the reflection on his helmet. That was first thing I noticed .

Hey, what are those ships on the left hand side ?

Razorback
07-27-2004, 09:36 PM
Those ships are fan renderings of the Jedi fighters. They are not that long at the front in the movie. They look more like Tie-fighters with a short nose (of the type in that poster). However, their wings fold so the t-shape of the Tie folds-out or back in for whatever reason.

Mighty_Wingman
07-27-2004, 09:56 PM
I was hoping they'd go with the more souped-up version of the Jedi Starfighter , Like the ones from the Clone Wars cartoons.

Also, correction : That shot of Vader might be from ANH.

ratm1966
07-27-2004, 10:00 PM
Ya never know what will be on the posters until the actual posters are released. As RB said, that one is just a fan rendering and isn't something that was officialy released, so don't put too much credence into which fighter they used in it.

You might not want to take the little ones to see RotS (image is from the behind the scenes video on the original trilogy DVD):

The movie is forever ruined because I saw the blue screen. Now I know there will be bluescreen in the movie. Completely spoiled for me now. I thought this was a documentary done in real time like Highlander.

Here's a question. How come in Star Wars they manage to come up with a new fighter type every movie. Movies seem to scope about 10 years, in reality, on planet earth, we get a new fighter type once every 30 years as bits fall off the old one /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif

It don't make-a-sense-a /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

Let me ask you one... why do stupid people ask stupid questions? /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Anyway, show me the different ships between TPM and AOTC. Amidala is still flying around in the same type of ship. We never saw the Jedi fighters in TPM so how do we know that they were not around the time of TPM? The aircrafts that the clones use are new since they were built by the Kaminoins (and we did not meet them until Episode II). The trade federation seems to be using the same starships (and fighters, though they were cut from the movie). There are new droids and ground vehicles from the seperatists in AOTC but then the Geonosians are a new breed of designers and warriors.

So, I do not see any great change in vehicle designs until RotS, thirteen years after TPM and three years into a massive war where the war machine would be turning out tons of new equipment and designs (similar to how in three years of WWII, the US pumped out hundreds of new weapon, vehicle, and aircraft designs).

Most importantly, Star Wars is not about planet Earth.

Other than that... Good points, well made /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif I have seen the light... Starfighter design is consistent /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
